When I look at a thread, it usually looks normal, and I can enter it. of course, this isn't the case for all threads however...
When a thread is moved, it leaves behind a trail of nuclear debris, which isn't moved. Like a shell. You can't post in it. Why is this? The government needs to take action and move these pieces of unneeded waste on our planet...
The thing is, I wonder why these moved threads are apparently still there. Can they not be deleted?

Yes, the remains of moved threads can be deleted. As a matter of fact, they can be avoided by staff changing the option from the default "Yes, leave a post behind" to "No, only move the thread."
We will remove them as we encounter them...

Wait, why? They just float to the bottom anyway. I leave them up just in case someone had linked to the old thread or wonders where their thread has moved.

Yeah, they should be left for a reference point.

The only problem is the point of not noticing that it's a locked and moved thread, which I sometimes do... It's fine though, but... Would it be possible to link the thread to the new one...? Or... Never mind, that would take too much time.

It kinda automatically does that.
