This is, no doubt, the best upload i have seen in a long time.

May, I just say, it is very good, but I know a way that will mean either win or draw, so it may be unbeatable but it can not beat me either.

We should team this against M4's. See which wins. Do they use the same algorithm?

Tech just amazes me. This is an excellent upload. If we are doing Cod's AI versus M4's AI, we should check to see which one is smaller and faster.

would it be possible to make something bigger?
I'd love to see Connect 4, but really any of the games out there would be cool.

There is no possible way to do that one.

Odd. Maybe it's only because I put PEN-0 Thunder into the center input square for over five seconds, but doing so causes the top-left and middle-left output squares to be lit with an "O" simultaneously...

If you hold it too long, both M4's and Cod's will have more than one square light up...

I don't care, tested both, they are fool proof, I know this, and I have to say, they ae both good.

could sanitize the input using cloud release, but the size would have to increase.

Impressive, really Impressive, I think M4's would beat this easily though.

Is there a way to use alternative technology, as opposed to the standard Thunder + Metal/Mercury?

Quit possibly... I've been thinking about track-laser-glass for simple tech, but for something like this it would get a bit messy. I think.

That's probably because most don't really decide to use laser because it simply isn't appreciated for its steadiness, or conserving dots. Very large things can be made with laser and not thunder due to its refined use of dots. Plus, laser is MUCH more useful for crossovers because thunder simply destroys itself in time, AND laser is much easier to stem or manipulate to your use.
Many don't use ant even though it is extremely useful for cutting wires simply because they don't know how it works for they are too dimwitted to look at Ant's DB wiki article, nor to experiment with it. If you look at the best Japanese calculators you will see they implement ant in many places because it easily stops any energy flow or releases it.
But charged glass is pretty much useless as it has nearly no merits.
At any rate, I was thinking that you might put a "win" or "lose" or "tie" sign. It'd be much more obvious, rather than having it simply end.

Thunder certainly has many uses. The best tech is not one that just uses thunder/metal/mercury, but one that takes advantage of everything PG has to offer.

so what all would you need out of laser tech?
seems like it would have most of what you'd need, gates and memory.

Mhm... Laser tech would only require short amounts of metal, seeing as all you need to do is bounce it off stuff at certain intervals. It's also much easier to get it going in the right direction as opposed to thunder, which takes clockwise turns over counterclockwise and straight lines over turns. Plus, ant could be implemented to create diagonal lines that reflect laser. So there.

oh...Oh...OH! I've never thought about ant that way.
I find laser far more easy to stop with stone than dropping mercury out into a tub. At any rate, you can triple the effects and take merits from each. And add cloud computing somewhere in there.
And I'm glad ant made it on the list. So many people think it's stupid and useless, but if you take time you'll see it can block things, cut things, reflect things, destroy things, and release things. It's really a versatile element.
But let's get back on topic: talk more about the AI.
