Protectorates are the constituent countries of the UP, Administrative Regions are collections of protectorates with a common government to assist in the governing process.

Protectarian (Pro-teck-tar-ee-en) or (Prot-ect-ar-yan)
People of each region generally prefer to refer to themselves by the demonym of their native protectorates.

All regions are lead by a Regional Council composed of delegates from their native countries. Each of these Councils is lead by a Regional Governor. The 14 Regional Governors form the National Council, lead by AESOP. Protectorates retain their native governments to the highest degree possible.
Formed in the year 2049, shortly before the outbreak of WWIII.
The Human Development Index of the United Protectorates varies wildly between regions and even individual protectorates.
