*BEWARE: HUGE TEXT WALL COMING UP (TLDR SECTION INCLUDED TOO)*
They should make a stage at the top of the mountain and call it whatever they want. Plateau was just a suggestion. This will be a stage after Pyramid and Cavern 4. So, basically this stage would be different from the other stages in the fact that it is an arena. The rounds in the arena would be similar to the sections of a normal stage. There are two modes: Novice Mode, Hero Mode and Survival Mode.
Novice Mode
The arena works on a five stage cycle. The first four stages would be randomly generated non-boss monsters from Opening Street all the way to Pyramid. However, all these monsters would be five levels lower than you, meaning even the opening street monsters would be five levels lower than you. At the fifth stage, a randomly generated non-megaboss boss would appear at the same level of the monsters before. During the boss rounds, all the minions that would normally appear with the boss will also be present with the boss. Every five rounds, the level of the monsters increase by 2.
At round 30, the last round, instead of a randomly generated boss, you will fight the Yeti, which is five levels higher than you if you keep repeating the level increase sequence. The Yeti will have two attacks, similar to megabosses. One will be an attack similar to the Castle Boss's pellet attack, but instead he shoots ice that can slow down your characters. His other attack, will be a slow ball that will fly through the air and hit the ground dealing massive damage if it hits a characters. His HP and damage will depend on the level of the Yeti. There will also be a small chance of dropping the Yeti's Card 1.
Yeti's Card 1: All attacks by this character will slow down the enemy by 30%. Can be equipped by all classes.
The EXP and Gold will be rewarded each round and will be based on the level of the monsters. The monsters will not drop gold or exp, but will still drop onigiris, but they will be rare. Aside from that, one extra onigiri will drop every round. Every five rounds, two random rewards will drop, such as compo items or weapons. The EXP and Gold reward will be increased every five rounds due to the fact that the level increases every five rounds. After the Yeti is defeated, five rewards drop instead of two.
If you're still confused, here's an example of a sample champion mode:
Hero Mode
This is basically the pumped up version of novice mode. Instead of the monsters starting at five levels below your level, they start right at your level. However, the levels will only increase by 1 level each 5 rounds. Instead of 30 rounds, there will be 60 rounds. The round cycle will be similar to the novice mode rounds.
However, at level 60, a bigger and badder version of the Yeti will appear, called the Dark Yeti. The Dark Yeti will have an ice shower attack, similar to the Yeti, but will have more bullets, a bigger range, and will inflict a dark status if it hits a person as well as slowing down the character. The dark status will decrease both the attack and defense by 20%. His other move, which is a ball similar to the Yeti, will be faster, bigger and deal more damage. The Dark Yeti will have a chance to drop both the Yeti's Card and the Dark Card.
Dark Card: Has a 25% chance of inflicting a dark status that will decrease an enemy's attack and defense by 20%.
The exp and gold reward will be slightly greater than that of the novice mode. The rewards will be the same: 2 rewards for each boss stage and 5 rewards for both the Yeti and Dark Yeti stage. However, there will not automatically be one onigiri per round, but the monsters still will drop onigiri at a relatively low chance.
Hero Mode Example coming soon:
Survival Mode
Survival mode is very similar to the other two modes, but there are some differences. Instead of 30 rounds, there are infinite amount of rounds. Your team will keep fighting and fighting until they drop. The first monsters still start five levels below you. The levels increase by 1 every 5 rounds instead of the usual 2 levels every 5 rounds. Instead of the Yeti appearing at round 30, the Yeti appears every 15 rounds. Every 60 rounds, the Dark Yeti will appear.
There will still be rewards just like the the other two modes. The gold and exp rewards will still be approximately the same as novice mode. There will be two rewards given every boss stage. Because the Yeti appears every 15 rounds, only 3 rewards will be given out after the Yeti round. Every time you beat the Dark Yeti, 5 rewards will drop. There will still be the usual one onigiri per round, and monsters inside the arena will still drop onigiris at a relatively low rate.
Survival Mode example:
Miscallaneous
You can not revive at all throughout the arena.
Only some of the monsters will be chosen from a stage, not all of them. For example, if Desert 7 and Mist Grove 2 monsters were chosen, only half of Desert 7 monsters would appear and only half of Mist Grove 2 monsters would appear.
FAQ
Even though this sounds complicated, I just thought of it as a way to challenge players of all levels.
And now for the part you've all been waiting for...

In summary, I thought of a stage that would act as an arena and the rounds would progress harder and harder until you reach the Yeti, which is the final boss of the arena.

FAQ
Q: What if your inventory gets loaded by the rewards?
A: I still haven't worked that out yet.
Q: What happens to the monsters when you are max level?
A: The first option would be to still keep the same pattern and make the yeti boss level 75. If that is not possible, the pattern can continue but max out at level 70. For example, the rounds can go like level 65, 67, 69, 70, 70, 70.
