This series is my entry for the Dan-Ball Stories Contest. It's about some factory workers on a city island that survive a zombie outbreak. Yes, they are supposed to be Players and Fighters are zombies. This is the first part of the No Hope series.
11 November 2017, Islapolis
Hi, i am Player 1, one of the few survivors of a violent zombie outbreak. The whole city has been crawled over by infected and our only way out is via an oil rig. I am now down the sewer with Player 5 and Player 34. We are armed with a Nail gun(Superball attribute), a hunting shotgun(Spark attribute) and a improvised flamethrower(Fire attribute) that i carry. In this book i write about my adventure and how to fight zombies. I will give some quick intel about good anti-zombie weapons. Sharp things, like katanas or pitchforks are good against zombies. Shotguns are the best close-quarters anti-zombie weapon but still not very effective against hordes. Automatic weapons, like assault rifles, are good fro ripping waves apart from medium distance. Heavy weapons, like rocket launchers and grenade launchers are good from the right angle: Above on a building. You can make those two weapons easily with a lead pipe and rocket fireworks and a leaf blower and grenades. We continue on trough the sewers, were there aren't too much zombies. After 2 hours of fighting off zombies in the stinking sewers we finally reached a stair reaching to the surface. We climbed up and were standing in the middle of the police station. We found a few police agents that had survived the outbreak behind a pile of sandbags: Player 343 and 117. They were carrying a Magnum and a Freeze Gun(Snow Attribute): A water gun attached to a fire extinguisher. Together we go back into the sewers, walking to the place where the docks should be. We climbed up, and saw there was one rowing boat left, but the docks was covered by zombies. However, i got them off pretty fast with my Fire attribute and we all stept in the little boat on to the oil rig...
