I'm not going to lie. That is the coolest header I've seen for this forum. Period.
The challenge will be to get the other things to match this pure win.
EDIT: Looking back on it, I dislike the random brush on the header image, and the sparks, I think that everything else is fantastic though.

Yeah, that looks fantastic. It also adds a bit of a dan-ball theme to the skin itself. I have no doubt it would be implemented when finished.

That looks cool, but I am not sure if I like the darker brown you're using. Maybe you should try to use the colors on the Dan-Ball webpage, it might look better.

We've tried those colors, to eyeraping effect.

I will be scripting this project; I plan on creating a sort of "API" for creating and managing multiple skins. This way we can have, not just multiple color schemes, but multiple designs as well. Within this API I will also attempt to integrate features such as name color and custom stars directly into the forum. Finally, the API could potentially allow for integration of special pages, e.g. a staff "blog" announcing things like dan-ball updates and site changes.

I think they would look better on the high contrast ones, or at least up the contrast of the current one. It just looks weird right now. I like the high contrast one, I think it's a lot easier to look at than the Classic one, actually. But it's cool that you want to make some more colors, I hope you include the Dan-Ball one.
One thing I will really recommend is to add more Stick Rangers on the left, it would look more recognizable.

We should design an area for the WIP radio...

What WIP radio? Only necessary if it proves to be a very popular idea, and a sustainable one. The last few radios died quickly. If absolutely needed, it can take over the old java chat's page. That thing doesn't work anymore anyway.

I know, it was a suggestion, we're still waiting for approval and a "demo."

This looks magnificent, even beautiful, but I do have one concern (aside from what Monokrome pointed out): it doesn't seem that the 100Bit inner background would tile vertically, in spite of some subtle tiling. Have you yet tested to see if it tiles, or are you going to rely on the rest of the forum to cover any "seams"?

that looks damn sweet. but i don't think either of the backgrounds really tile...

Both backgrounds have been specifically reworked to tile seamlessly.

It looks nice, but as priok said, I prefer the high contrast original color skin. After you finish you should go into GIMP and turn the darker brown and lighter brown colours into the Dan Ball ones.

It's pretty well-established that we're not going with the original dan-ball colors.

Oh, that does work. Alright, in that case I have no complaints...

hnng, that PG2 background looks too tiled, it is seamless, yes, but repetitive...

Will there be an option to keep the skin we already have? Liquid width is my friend!

It's pretty well-established that we're not going with the original dan-ball colors. We never established this, there are people who like the original Dan Ball colors. So I feel if we're going to make a new skin we should at least recolor it later on to fit the traditional Dan Ball color scheme.

Yes, it has been established, and I'm pretty sure that's not the only place in the forum where it was established that the Dan-Ball colors on our forum torture the eyes. Maybe the Dan-Ball colors won't look so bad using the scheme that KuraiOorora devised, but if past experience taught us anything, the Dan-Ball colors belong on Dan-Ball and the Dan-Ball Wiki alone...

If you really want to strongly support default dan-ball colors, you might want to try them yourself. I notice you're using Platinum Tears...

I switched cause I got bored with them, but if we get a new skin I'd like for Kurai to change colors to original for a seperate skin, like our color choices now.

I'm sure that if we have a swappable color palette, dan-ball will be one of them.
