John: How would you know?
Morpheus-Column extended to floor 3, squishing an unfortunate nonja.
John: From that sound, I guess that there was a nonja there after all. Morpheus, keep digging! Qwerty, which floor are we going to? Could you get me some beef-flavored ramen?

Qwerty: Ooh, that's nasty. You don't want to see that one.
Oh, and sure. I've got a voice changer on this thing that should do the trick.
Qwerty walks up to the intercom.
Qwerty (through voice changer): Nonja 2153235 reporting in for lunch duty. Please send access card to Recreational Area 5B.
A card drops through a slot in the wall.
Qwerty: See? Paying attention to their lunch schedules has advantages. I'll be right back.
Qwerty heads off to the kitchen.

John: Won't that nonja and the nonja's he's with notice? Which floor are we going to?
Morpheus: Should I drop to fourth floor now?

Qwerty returns with some ramen.Q: Don't worry, I checked the Nonja network. Due to the security breach all Nonjas are on full alert, and not allowed to be on this floor. Ironically, therein lies the key to our success. Have some ramen. Qwerty hands John some ramen.Q: Assuming we've passed the third floor, we should come out of the cell blocks. We're headed for one of the furthest-out cells. It's pretty low-security, Morpheus could break out quickly. Fortunately for us, Nonjas rarely visit this part of the base. The floor is too tough to drill through there; too much solid insulation from the torture chamber below. We need to cross the Nonja Cell Blocks, which may be tricky because there are still some on patrol in the middle. We're in the far right of Cell Block 6, but we need to go to the middle of Cell Block 2. Have a map:

This isn't what I expected to ever do. I was joining the Nonja ranks. I never knew I would be joining them, but they were the new home for me... The only thing that could keep me alive. I spent years training and fighting. I was in perfect shape. I just needed to find a way to have some power and protection. ____________________________________________________
-I looked at the Nonja leader,Temporarily9.- He seemed very powerful...
Delta-1, sir. I'm a Nonja Specialist recruit here. I am going to be in the Nonjas' Task Force. I'm specialized in survival,hunting,assassination,...(A few minutes later), Sir. *salutes*

Temporarily9: Excellent. You can stop by the barracks and pick up your weapons, then help the Nonjas search for the prisoners however you can. They went missing in a ventilation shaft in the torture chamber.
OOC: Where is Dekan, anyway?

Sir,yes sir.
*Goes to the barracks*
Hm... I'll have to take a few minutes to decide....
*Takes 3 stun grenades (in grenade pockets), a CheyTac Intervention (puts on back), and an XM8 (holds), Military Bowie Knife (in knife pocket), .44 Magnum (puts in pistol holster)* This will be fun... I first have to get their dust prints, but those may be hard to find since the ventilation may have spread it into the air already. They're obviously not from around here... The place is kept clean... So there will be unidentified dust. It will lead me to them.
Anyway... Sir,requesting permission to heat up the ventilation.
*goes to the torture chamber*

I FINALLY manage to get myself off of the vent ceiling, and it turns out I'm on the cell block floor. Unfortunately, I needed to get to my security post fast because of the security breach, but I wasn't familiar with this floor. I wander into a hallway with lots of prisoners. (Cell Block 1), but I have no idea where I am. I see another hallway. I start heading down it.

(Dekan is somewhere in the ventilation system. That is all John knows. I think was last seen running off to the side.)
John: I take it that drilling through the floor of floor 3/ceiling of floor 4 is out.

*sets up a complex system of small cameras not visible to the naked eye*
This will do the trick...
And I'll be heading to the ventilation later on. The cameras have small heartbeat detectors on them to show me where anything suspicious might be... I've got one... Oh, I don't want to turn myself in *facepalm*. Well this system might take a while... 1/2

John: Hmm.... Maybe, if I do this...
John jumped into the Morpheus-Drill, and whispered something to it. Work on extending the column ceases, as Morpheus changes its orders.
Morpheus-Changing:1/2
John got out of the column.
John: Where is the Main connection to the nonja base network? Could you deactivate it?

Qwerty: What network? You mean the different floors? That would be the elevator, but it's on a closed circuit directly to the Inner Sanctum. Most of the base is. Of course, there's always explosives, but we would have to get back up to the top floor and somehow reach the middle of the room. The top floor is much more heavily guarded than the fourth.

Sir, I may need a map to the torture chamber. I have to get information on the layout of this place. It will be used to determine where the intruders are at. *finishes microcamera system* 2/2 X Well Sir, re-requesting to heat up the ventilation system. They will have no resources to survive. Unless they have a machine that allows them to have any. I will smoke them out. I will have to go and get supplies though. And I'll keep eyes on Torture Chamber. Over.

John: Hrm... Where is the closest vent? Maybe it will be easier to rescue Dekan there. What's the Inner Sanctum?

|
Post by Qwerty on Sept 15, 2010 1:51:39 GMT
Temporarily9: Here is a map.Click it to change floors.Qwerty: The Inner Sanctum is a computer I built a long time ago. It's the control center of the base. If I get access to it, then in essence we win. I can lock down the base and food supplies and deactivate the Nonjas' weapons and starve them to death. Pretty much impossible to reach, though. The closest vent is actually in the kitchen, near the stove. Keeps the cooks cool. Of course, the Nonja ventilation system is a huge maze and we have no idea where Dekan is.

We don't know where he is, true, but neither do any breaking in. I guess you could try scanning the upper floors; one of them escaped and no doubt brought help. Those Nonja Fighters are so emotionally weak. They'll risk their own freedom to rescue someone.

Alright sir... I'll have to take a few moments to intensify the strength of my monitor and the cameras... *starts to tweat the scan area of the cameras* 1/5 this might take a while... I'll still be able to keep overwatch on torture chamber and it will soon have heartbeat detectors. The ventilation is unclear. I can only know if there are any intruders near the chamber (10 meter radius) . There may be a few problems though... Only that there is no way for us to find them in this state. How will you get to the intruders? What are you doing right now?

I have a trick up my sleeve...
Sir, requesting for access to the Inner Sanctum. I'm currently 2/5 done with the heartbeat detectors. If I can connect my monitor to an outlet and connect it to a mainframe in the Inner Sanctum, then I can update my security system from 1.9 to 5.0. It would also install the heartbeat detectors and maximize the range to 10 meters. They will also have rounds in their miniature gatling guns that are as long as your arm!. Currently there are only 10 total in the Torture Chamber, but yeah... It's going to all be done by the mainframe connected to the monitor.

Temporarily9: Go ahead. I've granted your security card clearance to access the Inner Sanctum, make sure you scan it before you pass through the hallway or you'll be out for awhile.

Dekan: Ugh. It's too warm in here. I'm tired. I'm bored. Where's the designated emergency exit? This is worse than Nonja torture! Or maybe it is...? Nah, that would be a lame torture. LAME.
EDIT: By now, Dekan is pretty deep into the ventilation shaft. Maybe not torture chamber deep, but pretty deep.

Temporarily9: We could always try sealing the ventilation and starving him out, but that would seal off our air supply. I'll have some Nonjas do a full sweep of the vent system.
T(On Intercom): All Nonjas, please prepare for a full sweep of the ventillation system. Go low-gear, with only a stun gun, some handcuffs, and your climbing equipment, and scan every part of it. It should take about two posts per floor. Start at the top.
Floor one scan - Preparing
Q: Erm, that doesn't sound good. We need to hide somewhere there isn't a vent, and cover this pit Morpheus made. Well, the latter's easy.
Qwerty moves a pool table over the hole.
Q: Now, where to hide... Wait! Dekan is down there somewhere!

Alright... I'm going up to the Inner Sanctum... I'm here now.
*scans security card*
*enters Inner Sanctum*
*salutes*
Sir,reporting for duty.
*connects monitor to mainframe*
And I'll leave it there. 3/4
Now I have a plan... But it's not going to be easy... I'll have to wait for it to finish updating and upgrading and recalibrating the monitor, and security first...
