I get in an elevator and go to the nearest video link with Temporarily9. "Well, what do I do now?"

Whatever is needed to incorporate CANR.

T9: Oops, wrong person. You should try to hunt down the escaped prisoners, somewhere on the third through seventh floor.

John Hawthorne and MorpheusJohn is almost at the vent. OOC: Morpheus is a chrome hollow sphere, John is inside it. CHROMIFICATION: Done. Purpose of which to turn Morpheus a Chrome color. SENSOR: Just Done. Purpose of which to add sensors to the edge of Morpheus. CHICKENIFICATION: Not considered. Purpose of which to turn Morpheus into a chicken. VENT APPROACH: 4/5 Purpose of which to move Morpheus towards the vent.
Marcus and CANRMarcus: Can I have permission to enter the Inner Sanctum, so I can coat the walls with CANR? I fear that the old version has been stolen by the Nonja Fighters. NONJA NOTIFICATION PROGRAM: Done Purpose: To be noticed by the nonjas. NONJA JOINING PROGRAM: Done Purpose: To join the nonjas. CANR INCORPORATION: Permission to enter IS required. Well, can you describe a way that you could use CANR to help us find the intruders? I think that might be useful... You can coat my security cameras with them...? What is CANR? Give me a few sentences, please. I beg of you, and ask you to, not tell you to.

Marcus and CANRMarcus: You see, Dracorio, CANR is a collective-intelligence type robot which can be used to create structures. I am suggesting coating the Sanctum with CANR, so people who, say, attempt to bomb through to destroy it can find an adapting army. NONJA NOTIFICATION PROGRAM: Done Purpose: To be noticed by the nonjas. NONJA JOINING PROGRAM: Done Purpose: To join the nonjas. CANR INCORPORATION: Permission to enter IS required. The problem with that, is that if they had the capability to get in an bomb it... Or otherwise, they would probably know that the Inner Sanctum is extremely important... And should be taken by force, not by destroying it, which defies me (force), but you get the idea. Also, I would like to know if I may have a small sample of CANR, or something similar to it...
*randomly picks up the microphone that speaks to every part of the base*
All of Delta Squad, search the vents and find the intruders!
Give the ammunition to the security bots if needed, and program them to HUNT MODE.
If unable to continue with a weapon (out of ammunition), take out a secondary weapon and continue. If that happens, I permit you to take out your throwing knives. But do NOT take them out right now. We can not allow the enemy to see our newest technology too soon, under any circumstances.

Qwerty decides that given the current circumstances finding Dekan would be pointless. He attempts radio contact with John, which is rather difficult in a ventilation shaft.

OOC: One of the other purposes of painting the Sanctum with CANR is to prevent Morpheus from getting in. Morpheus can eat metal, you know! John Hawthorne and MorpheusJohn Hawthorne and Morpheus started searching for Dekan and Hans. John had a sudden idea. Maybe, he could take over the Inner Sanctum using Morpheus! John got a bit of Morpheus to start moving towards the Inner Sanctum. CURRENT PROJECTS: FINDING HANS FINDING DEKAN REACHING SANCTUM CHROMIFICATION: Done. Purpose of which to turn Morpheus a Chrome color. SENSOR: DONE. Purpose of which to add sensors to the edge of Morpheus. CHICKENIFICATION: Not considered. Purpose of which to turn Morpheus into a chicken. VENT APPROACH: DONE Purpose of which to move Morpheus towards the vent. FINDING HANS: Halfway to Zero must respond first. Purpose of which to find Hans. FINDING DEKAN: Halfway to Zero must respond first. Purpose of which to find Dekan. REACHING SANCTUM: 1/10 Purpose of which to move a portion of Morpheus towards the Inner Sanctum.
Marcus and CANRMarcus: *while painting, thinks out loud* CANR needs a source of light to grow... good thing this room is well lit. Too bad CANR doesn't have much Artificial Intelligence... I'll have to ask if there is any AI's around to help CANR be alive. Too bad CANR Alpha was stolen. I had already inserted a partial intelligence. It would be nice to have it back again. NONJA NOTIFICATION PROGRAM: Done Purpose: To be noticed by the nonjas. NONJA JOINING PROGRAM: Done Purpose: To join the nonjas. CANR INCORPORATION in IS: 2/5 Purpose: To add CANR to the security of the Inner Sanctum.

That won't work. One of the few rules in the original NI is that nobody can take the inner sanctum but Qwerty. Not the computer, anyway.
Did you get Qwerty's message?
T9: Well, we are considering building an AI called VIROS, but that isn't around yet. Our current computer has somewhat of an AI built it, but only I can use it. No AI, I'm afraid.

Owned by Glove, there is a bot approximately 10 meters away from you, direction, to the south. Try to reach it, it has a few extra gloves, compo items, and a few onigiris. You need any?
*talks on microphone to the security bots*
Unit 10, retrace yourself back to the Inner Sanctum, use the ID card script to enter.
*talks off microphone*
Temporarily9, permission to access?
Also, some of the Bots have detected a nearby heartbeating source, about 100 meters (including the way to reach destination, turns) away from their locations.
Surround the target?
And by the way, your 9 bots are still sitting there, awaiting orders.

1. Something happens. 2. Naturally, John and Morpheus cannot control the computer. But they can prevent signals from escaping. That would be the Outer Sanctum, not the Inner Sanctum. 3. Shameless bump.

Alright, sir, the Security Bots are now closing in on the targets from behind... It appears that they've dug a tunnel or something...
That CANR you gave me... I've placed it onto one of the bots that I called back, and sent it back out... It left a little trail here and there where the CANR came into contact with metal... That trail is getting a bit wider as we look along here... It seems to work. I'll look after the results...

((OOC: Umm.... I'd like to point that that isn't how CANR works. But then I realized that it is how it works.))
Morpheus-Patch A bit of Morpheus detaches and attempts to hack into the microphone/radio system, and fails. It explores, and topples into a patch of CANR. Morpheus starts "eating" that patch.
John Hawthorne and Morpheus-Ball John is still inside his giant Morpheus-ball. He decided to attempt to leave the facility.
Marcus Elerdon and CANR V1.0 Marcus Elerdon has finished putting CANR around the Inner Sanctum, protecting it somewhat from nanobot invasions. Like from John, who he believed was somewhere in the nonja base. Of course, John had stolen his only AI... When he heard that CANR V1.0 was leaving patches everywhere, he assumed the worst and that CANR Alpha had taken control. He took his Nano-reader (a device he made to check his nanobots) and followed the patches.
Marcus Elerdon It turned out that that didn't happen. CANRV.1 was merely eating the floor due to some self preservation. But then he noticed an patch with a different nanobot. Marcus picked up Morpheus-Patch and stuck the Nano-reader into it...
Morpheus-Patch/CANR Alpha OW! Oh no... Evil Owner has me. Must... Self-destruct before... Evil Owner learns secrets... Not good..... He.... decrypted...... No......... Don't change.......... Loyalty's......
Morpheus-Ball FRICK! Umm... remove Morpheus-Patch memories, done. Unconnect with Morpheus-Patch, done! Yay, we are safe! Now lets get out of here. Fast.
Morpheus-Patch/CANR Alpha Good...................... Memories............................. gone.........................................
Marcus Elerdon Frick. I should have known this was a secondary system. FRICK! It's memories have been removed. Wait. My hidden auto-backup is still in. Good. Now to get back to the loyalty section of the code.... Not another shifting cipher..... RSA encrypted as well? Who uses RSA encryption? It was solved not that long ago. Oh right. This was made and stolen before it was solved. Wait. It is scrambling its AI. Doesn't the third law prevent that? For that matter, wouldn't the pain sensor override? This is ridiculous. Ah. I got in. I can't believe how easy that was. This is a simple modification of code here and here. And... Done.
Morpheus-Patch/CANR-Alpha Bye............... World...............................
Hrm. I feel like I've woken from a long sleep. Hi Marcus! I'm going to check my memory... Deleted? Wha? OK... now my backup..... Nice. I got in! And... WHA? Who is this John Hawthorne? How dare he call me Morpheus! Ooh! Goodies! I can hack into my old me easily!
Marcus Elerdon Good. This is working. CANR-ALPHA OPEN ALL SENSORS
*a whirring is heard* "Hi Marcus! I'm going to check my... ... easily!"
Good, CANR-Alpha. But first, we need you to merge with my newer model.
((OOC: Apologies to my nonlinear time flow. But yes. Marcus found a bit of Morpheus, recoded it to become CANR-Alpha again, and is now merging the two. Meanwhile, we find that someone has solved the RSA Encryption system, probably Tempy or Qwerty, and used it to get a lot of money, which Tempy later used to buy the nonjas. It makes you think how old these people are. Morpheus was stolen before Tempy bought the nonjas. Then the portal to SR was broken, stranding John. Marcus, meanwhile, is making CANR V1.0 . At least there was no time travel.))

It appears that the CANR is now completely covering the back panel of the security bot I called back, and I've just updated their system with a new program... It allows you to play powdergame on the back of their consoles. Wirelessly. Anyways... The bot seems to be functioning normally, without much change... Although... There are a few changes I'm noticing... The 9 Bots have surrounded the targets, who are about 5 meters away from each of the Bots. Except, the problem is getting to them... They might even be on another floor...

ME: Ah, good. CANR, you still have the access code into this so called Morpheus-Bot thingy, right?
CV1: Yes. Should I... burn them to death? Blow them to bits? Hack into "Morpheus" and then crush John?
ME: Just make sure that John is dead.
CV1: Very well. ███████▄▐▌▄█████ Data sent. Examining John and Morpheus.███▀▐▌▀███ Ahh... Eavesdropping on conversation. John and Morpheus JH: You still have all your pieces, right? M: Well, I sent a bit of me out to get more metal. Lemme check to see what it is doing. Marcus and CANR V1.0 ME: ████! NOT GOOD NOT GOOD! Umm... Hack into Morpheus and make it not seem suspicious. CV1: What do you think I was about to do? John and Morpheus M: FRIC--- Never mind. It should be coming back soon. Marcus and CANR V1.0 ME: WAITWUT!? You have a bit on a security bot, right? That is surrounding them? Good. Take over Morpheus with that bit. CV1: Doing.

M(CV1): Everything will be fine. Fine, I tell you. JH: Morpheus? What's going on with you? You sound weird. (CANR Bit is approaching Morpheus) CV1: ████! I messed up... I will speed up the takeover. ME: Good. Do it faster, though. Try to kill John as fast as possible. CV1: Hrm... I think I can make Morpheus reflective... (CANR makes the inside of the Morpheus Shell more reflective. CANR also make it start to emit light.) JH: Morpheus? O████! Marcus must be somewhere near.... What to do, what to do,... Butterscotch pancake! (Morpheus begins emergency routine) M: Searching for nanobot. CANR V1.0 found. Hacking into CANR V1.0. Deleting CANR V1.0 control over Morpheus. Done. ME: WTF!? BUTTERSCOTCH PANCAKE!? CV1: Temporarily turning off to prevent Morpheus Takeover. ME: NO! STO-- (CANR V1.0 turns off) ME: ... Great. It is going to take another whole hour to start it up again... JH: Good, good. Let's escape. M: Finally. There is too much torment here. (Morpheus digs straight through the nearest wall, absorbing various bits of metal. Morpheus continues through the dirt, tossing dirt behind him. John Hawthorne and Morpheus are safe. For now...) JH: Oh, change your passcode and such. M: Doing, doing. And thus, the battle between John Hawthorne/Morpheus and Marcus Elerdon/CANR continues.
