Most of us seniors know about the Forum History Thread. I was thinking that perhaps the veteran members of the forum could collaborate on the forum history and update it, while also adding events they recall in the past. I'm sure there is much left to be put into the thread.

I guess a good start would be to add things that have occurred since it started. The problem is that since the move our drama levels are at a record low.

Not anymore, anyway. Just some minor scuffles easily resolved.

Yea, but we need to put them in anyway. They are history.
Also... I'm in. I'll help when I can, but it'll mostly be old history.

Here's my thought about this paragraph (edit and change as you wish):
TooManyNames (one of my favorite Chatango flamers) left. The forum at this time had the most high staff with QwertyuiopthePie, TSL, GeneralVeers, FoxtrotZero and KuraiOorora all following orders from TheListo. We were gaining members such as Owned by Glove and Halfway to Zero. It was at this time that staff were probably the most uptight and strict with the rules, and much controversy began regarding the amount of staff were on the forum. Thus began the major staff cuts, involving a series of tests to see who would remain. The head admin triumvirate retained their positions, yet many were set back to smaller roles or removed entirely. Finally, GGoodie made another new skin (V2) for the forums. January 2010, Phantom Zero joined the forums.

Adding it to the forum history post word for word. The only changes I'll be making will be adding a couple of links to relevant members.

Then after that paragraph: Things soon started to fall apart. Conspiracy regarding TheListo's position as forum owner was taking place the same time staff cuts were being finalized. One day images from the forum had gone missing that were originally hosted on GGoodie's former website, and many former members of the forum as well as a few anonymous were attempting to spam the forum as much as possible. Names were being thrown about as to who were the people that started the raid, and would soon split further into the community in the coming months. During the raid the admins shut the forum down into maintenance mode and went through the backups of the headers and footers to see if they could salvage any important data. Thankfully they were able to, and the process of preventing such an event from ever occurring again would be known as The Reform. Shortly after, KuraiOorora resigned as administrator due to personal problems, although he did return as Disgorged_Mech. Remove the part where kuraioorora left in the previous paragraph. You might also want to remove some of the links that are 404s.

I agree with M4, we should find links in places like the backups where these events actually occurred.

Ok I've updated the history with your paragraph and checked for links that 404. (removing them if they do) Please search the old forum (danballforums.proboards.com) for relevant and notable threads. It makes the whole process much easier. Glad to see so many members have decided to help!

I think current definition is having been here at least one year, but that's starting to mean less with the lifetime of the forum spanning about four.
