This is a post I made on the old forum which I got from Disabled's backups so if a staff member could re sticky this that would be great
These are just some commonly asked questions. If your question is not answered here, send a PM (private message) to any Staff Member or post in the Help Board and your question should be answered accordingly.
Question:
I can't upload on Powder Game, why?
Answer:
This will tell you all about uploading on Powder Game.
1.) The first thing to do is make an account on the Dan-Ball site. If you have not already done this, click on the "Home" tab located in the yellow bar near the top of the Dan-Ball site. After clicking it, you will see a space on the left side of the page that has two white typing bars and the word "Registration" underlined and in blue up above the two lines. Click it.
THIS IS IMPORTANT!!! If you don't see the word Registration, and everything is in Japanese, look in the top right corner and click the word that says English, and everything will be english (sort of).
Once you click Registration, there should be a new window with four typing lines on it. The first is your ID. What you enter here will not be what will show up under your uploads. The second two are the password and confirmation, and the last is your nickname. The nickname is what will be under your upload title when you upload.
Fill each of these out, and check the agreement button at the bottom. Make sure you put your password and ID in a word document or write it down. That is what you will need to log in if you log out.
Once you click confirmation, the window will change and it will show your Id, password, and nickname. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AT LEAST THE ID AND PASSWORD! Click the regitration button and you will be registered. You will be automatically be signed in also.
2.) If you click upload one of three things will happen. Upload past 12 hours to a total of 50, 2nd only once can uploaded, or it will have a typing line and the words Ok and Cancel. If you have a typing line that means that you can upload! If it says Upload past 12 hours to a total of 50, that means that there have been 50 uploads in the past twelve hours. That is the maximum amount of uploads allowed. If it says 2nd only once can uploaded, that means that either you have uploaded from that account, or from that computer in the last two days, and you can't upload, so you have to wait until it has been two days. You can only upload once every two days, and there can only be a total of 50 uploads every 12 hours.
3.) If you get an upload spot, then it can not be taken away unless you refresh, close the internet, or navigate away from the page. A smart thing to do is to wait until there have been 49 uploads in the past 12 hours, and then upload, so your upload will be at the top of the list of recent uploads.
4.) As some have said already, the best times to get an upload spot are 10:00-12:00pm Easter Standard Time, and 10:00-12:00am Eastern Standard Time.

Question:
What is Karma?
Answer:
Karma is a system used to show how respected, or disliked a person is. Some people abuse karma and smite people like crazy, even if they have done nothing wrong! So, if you see your karma deplete and you KNOW you are a good member, ask a staff member. They can help you figure it out.
How do I get/lose/give/take it?
You can get it two ways -- contests, and when other members press the exalt button -- but you lose it when they press smite.
You can give/take other members' karma. There should be a button in their mini-profile to the left of each post, under their name. It should say "Exalt/Smite". Exalt gives them karma. Smite takes it away.
When should I use the exalt/smite buttons?
Exalt someone if they are
1. Friendly.
2. Following the rules.
3. Being helpful.
Smite someone if they are
1. Mean.
2. Breaking Rules.
3. Not being responsible.
4. A troll
Question:
How do I change my name color?
Answer:
You have to save up and purchase it in the dan-ball shop. The package also comes with special effects and name changes.
Question:
I can't fit all of my badges in my signature, what do I do?
Answer:

(the code can be completely random like "7%0(78", "123654", or A$d%5G", or make more sense, like [USERNAMEBADGES])
Question:
Other people have different ranks, how do I get them?
Answer:
Easy, Post more, the higher the post count the higher your rank. Some ranks are staff ranks, and to earn those, you must become staff.
Question:
How do I become staff?
Answer:
Be a responsible, active member of the forums, and you might catch the high staff's attention. Likewise, they occasionally open threads in which you may submit an application.
Question
What are the posting ranks and how many posts do I need to get them?

Question
Why was the old forum deleted?
Answer:
The situation is the following:
The admin of the old forum (TheListo) claimed for a long time to develop Powder Game. Many (especially some other moderators) believed him for a long time. A few said they have seen prove that he is indeed developing PG but that was a long time ago. So some people doubted him for numerous reasons. In the last few months some started an attempt to contact ha55ii the head of dan-ball. Listo locked some threads, said "go back on topic" even if we were on topic and similar. In the end we succeeded to contact the author of the iphone games and it seemed possible to contact ha55ii himself.
This is an old document I never finished. Still some valid points are in it...
Reasons why I have reason to believe theListo is not a coder for ha55ii:
1) Listo is from Texas, Ha55ii from Japan. Listo doesn't speak a word japanese, ha55ii doesn't speak english. How do they communicate?
2) So one of them has a friend who speaks the other language and translates? Would you give your sourcecode to someone you can't talk to directly and only know over a friend? I wouldn't.
3) According to theListo he is 17. When did he start developing PG? At least a year ago. So with 15/16 he got a "contract" with a japanese guy?
4) If Listo codes PG, why is the english in the game worse than that of a 1st grader? For instance the upload error message "Upload past 12 hours to a total of 50." or "Please input it by two characters or more.". Listo would have written better english. And if Ha55ii had contact to an english translator to hire a coder, he would probably have had those sentences translated too and not with some online translator.
5) If you coded a game. Wouldn't you want some kind of credit for it? Nowhere is theListo named. Not in the game.
And now to the reasons that speak for theListo being a coder for PG:
1) He sais so (I usually believe what people say).
2) QwertyuiopThePie said he has seen prove. He has supposedly been shown some PG code that had comments in english and/or was told an update before it was released. (Hes never really specific about what he has seen.) And he sais theListo was referenced on ha55iis blog.
The worse, more immediate, more practical reason for the forum move was TheListo's replacement admin, Lag, known to several as "The Five Post Dictator." Since there was a failed revolution before in an attempt to throw off TheListo, he decided to leave and put in a replacement admin; however, instead of making the co-owner at the time the replacement admin, he got a person that no one from the forum knew. Because he didn't know anyone and no one knew him, things were rocky from the start and deteriorated quickly. To make things worse, the Powder Game Element Request thread and a few other important threads were deleted. Many accused Lag of having deleted the threads, and when asked to consult the one record that would show who deleted the threads, he claimed that the record did not have any entries indicating that threads were deleted. For fear of more threads going into oblivion, a backup forum was started, and as more people were convinced of their hatred for the Five Post Dictator, the group organizing the backup decided to make it a full-fledged move. To prevent the forum from being deleted before the necessary backups could be made, some JavaScript was put into place that anyone who wasn't Lag would be able to see in plain sight. That code put up an image that said we were moving to a new URL and not to let Lag know about it. Staff instructed everyone to do their part in making backups of threads, and the backup forum was soon a complete copy of the original one.
This is the backup forum. Fortunately, thanks to cooperation between Proboards staff, TheListo, and the forum original founder Frogmaster, the original forum is now restored as a read-only archive.
