Let's make guesses on how many desert stages there will be. And by desert stages oasis does not count.
I'd say 9
Edit: Pyramid does not count. Desert stages mean stages that start with Desert.

Well the most that any group of stages ever had was like 7-8 and that was grassland during the easy newbie phase.
Most of the newer stages only get about 3-6.
My guess based on the map is 6 (no more will be added) and we may get a 2nd route from the Oasis to a pyramid for some nice rewards.

Does Pyramid count?

I'd estimate about 10 stages.

Educated guess: 8 plus the pyramid.

Town to Castle: 6 stages least Castle to SM Shrine: 6 stages least SM Shrine to Pyramid: 6 stages least
These are not including the megaboss stages. so then the number of desert stages i guess would be 8-9 stages without pyramid or oasis.

8 Stages, plus an Oasis, Pyramid Gate, and Pyramid.

7 - 9 is my bet. Hey look, we already have 7... there also looks like there is room for a couple more...

Hey look, we already have 7... there also looks like there is room for a couple more... that's what i thought too, but on ha55ii's blog ( Click here) it says something about "last"... dunno, could be lost in translation as well... ^^

*rage rage rage rage ra-*
Owait, I don't play the game... HA!
Either way I still think there's room for another one although they could add pyramid stages...

You do play the game. Everybody plays the game, whether they relize it or not. I LOST THE GAME.
I predict the next update will be pyramid gate.

Why does the pyramid need a gate?

Post by Yonder on Oct 9, 2010 20:43:40 GMT
Well, the Castle has a gate too. Why not have one for a Pyramid?

Submarine Shrine doesn't have a gate.

1. I doubt pyramid will use the castle tileset and I believe if they introduce a new tile they will have more than one stage with it.
2. You enter some pyramids by going through an underground tunnel that surfaces at a gatehouse thingy some distance away.
3. So the whole area won't just be desert with 2 disjoint non-desert stages.

1. You DID read about how we found pyramid, right?
2. Yes, and you enter submarine shrines via a tunnel.
3. As opposed to 3 disjoint non-desert stages?

1. I know. I said I doubt they wil use the Castle tileset.
2. Submarine shrines don't exist.
3. Pyramid and Pyramid gate will not be disjoint as they will be right next to each other.

1. Oh, right.
2. Yes, they do. They do I tell you! Somewhere! Besides, not all pyramids do that, and certainly not enough to call it a certainty.
3. Sure, but is there actually room for it? Why can't it just be at the end of the desert stages, like SM shrine was at the end of the submarine stages?

9 or 10 if we include Pyramid gate

Assuming there is a pyramid gate.

1. Seems like that conversation is over.
2. If there is an underground tunnel, why won't they have "Pyramid Tunnel"?
3. Ha55i could extend the map like he/she did before.
3.5. [offtopic] Is Ha55i male or female? [/offtopic]

3.5 Only Ha55ii knows. We assume male, but there's no way of knowing.
3. We've already seen the extended map over in the special board. I won't tell you what it is, disabled told me not to.

Waitwut. Really?
Oh dear, I am missing out a lot over there....
I still stick to saying there are going to be 7 - 8 desert stages.

I'm sure there will be another 3 level tunnel, but I don't think they will be connected to the desert. There will be two more desert stages including one pyramid and thats it. And considering the megaboss (isn't there a better name for them?) thingie, both of them had the same map icon, but pyramid will be something different like the oasis or the caverns which didn't have one of them. So there is no real need for the pyramid to have a megaboss.

Maybe the megaboss stage is at the end of the next set of stages after desert.

Or maybe the megaboss stage is the stage right after desert and it's called pyramid?

Yeah, like what SMS did. Either way, we haven't much room for more.
