Petition for demotion of Microfarad

Today, Listo came by on chat. He was trying to apologize and explain what went on during the big scandal on the old forum. It turns out, lag is a close friend of his that he trusted very well. Micro became angry and accused Listo of being a "God damn traitorous scum". Listo replied saying he knew the forum would likely never recover from the mutiny. Micro became even more angry and swore some more, saying we were doing just fine. Listo then pointed out we were pretty inactive compared to the old forum, and micro banned him. He soon unbanned him afterwards due to peer pressure, but the damage was done and he proved himself unfit for staffship. So I, Monokr0me, establish and sign the petition for the demotion of Microfarad.

I have to say that this is an issue that needs to be addressed. I will not choose a side on the matter until I feel it has been addressed properly. But indeed, the behavior shown in this instance was not acceptable...

I did not unban him because of peer pressure. I had no grounds to ban him, so I unbanned him. I even filed a ban report.

And KK, Dhoom isn't being trolly right now. In fact, Dhoom is more often not trolly than trolly. He's a half troll... Maybe he's like some superhero... Who can turn into a troll...

And we are quite sure that Listo is not Lag.

KuraiKiba, people have to accept an apology before absolution... And I don't really expect them to accept this. But, I'd like them to hear it, to recognize it, to think about it, and to recognize my sincerity.

And, Listo basically deleted the forums. He knew we were on the verge of mutiny, then told Lag to delete the forum if anything went wrong.

TheListo also essentially brought the forum back by contacting Frogmaster and Proboards and cooperating with everyone. We have him to thank for the return of the ODBF...

I've never really bothered pressing for MicroFarad's dischargment but I have actively pressed to not have him reinstated.

Look, his record is troubled. He's already been discharged from service AT LEAST once. His demeanor and judgement are not the least bit fit for his job. This is rather well demonstrated by the images at the beginning of this thread.

People who scream "Fuck You" and "Your Traitorous Ass Will Be Banned" (MF has a thing for Caps, and screaming, i've learned from more experience than anyone my age should need, does not get anywhere*) are not fit for moderatorship. This is an internet forum, not Tsarist Russia.

With that in mind, i've been waving the banner that I would have just as soon banned Listo myself, thats not exactly truthful. I did do that once, at the height of his (corruption?) and when I was rather close friends with NovaHoshi, the girl that she had wronged. I have no misconceptions; I still regard TheListo as a lying bastard and a general jackass, but the last couple of times he's been around i've just sort of avoided him, and I don't know why i've been unable to forgive him.

Well, considering the numbers that want a permanent demotion, a temporary suspension, and nothing to be done, I think the best course of action would be a temporary suspension somewhere between one week and one month.

I say a minimum of one week (and no less), because this isn't exactly the first time this happened. I say a maximum of one month (and no more), because everyone makes mistakes, and I too can become enraged.

Shall we at least agree on this time range?

MicroFarad needs to learn to control his anger is ways other than through his text. I have seen it since I made first encounter with him. It needs to end.
