A question about a thread for General Talk

Would it be alright to post a General Conversation Thread into General Talk? It would be for posting whatever happens recently, on the forum or in life. You would also be able to talk to others, somewhat. Leaving messages for others to come and see. Like so. I know we have the Chatango Chat, but some conversational subjects wouldn't be able to be seen later on. I'd like to suggest this idea.
