Another "You should demote these people" Thread

MicroFarad and Fox are leaving the forum.

Foxtrot's absence makes it pretty difficult for him to adequately fulfill his role as staff. Actually, impossible. You can't have a Global moderator who shows up every few months, if that. I'm not saying we should punish him. It's just that he's no longer capable of doing his job. When he finishes school or gets better or whatever he needs, then he could be reassessed.

Even if MicroFarad wasn't leaving with Fox, I still think he should be demoted. In his anonymous post, he says that he's leaving because "...there is no reason for me to come here other than to talk with Fox." That is not at all a proper perspective of the forum for a staff member to have. I wonder if he even cares that he's staff. His absence and his attitude definitely qualify him for demotion.

I assume that the triumvirate will talk of this, if they haven't already been discussing it?

I like how there are always these threads debating for a user to be kept/removed/placed into a staff position. Alas, Izacque does have a point.

FoxtrotZero should be kept as is. Even though he announced his absence, I am sure he will attend to the forum weekly. If not, then he can always be reassessed as Izacque said, because according to the administration here you can be gone for two years and arrive back to reclaim your position after only visiting for a few days.

As for MicroFarad, I have posted before on my opinion of his behavior towards his position as well as the general forum. He needs to be looked into consideration, if not already.

Demote the two, get a new pair of mods. When Fox returns, remove the worst new mod and replace him with fox.

I thought MicroFarad was already demoted, maybe I just haven't seen him around, lately. I do not mind with the suggestion, I would be fine with either one of you being a moderator.

It is with great reluctancy that I vote to demote the two. MF was great in my time, and Fox is still the bee's knees. But one cannot function as moderator when they cannot moderate for over half of the year.

The way I see it is, if they're on a temporary leave, there should be a temporary mod to replace him. That's how it works in business; that's how it should work here. As for MF, he doesn't exactly have the best behavior for a mod. He should be demoted and replaced with Izacque.

This topic brings up a matter that I find very important... In order for MicroFarad to keep his" Moderatorship", he should be at least be on Chat or at least show some signs of activity. Foxtrot, on the other hand, does not seem to be able to be very active now that he has gone to attend to other goals. Which reminds me of some other inactive Staff. MachPunch, and VIROS. I know that VIROS was somewhat "recent" in the appointing to his new position, but it seems that he has become rather inactive, somewhat less than TSL was, I think. At any rate, please do tell me what should be done, or what can't be done...

Draxor, MicroFarad has been on chat regularly, but even if he wasn't on chat, what would that have to do with being a forum moderator? Izacque does have an excellent point concerning MicroFarad's view of the forum, though...

That's what really annoyed me about MF recently: He really is ONLY here to talk to Fox. Not at all proper behavior for a chat mod.

As far as I'm concerned, demote them both, but allow Fox to return to mod status should he prove active after this leave.
