Why is nobody else updating their progress in this thread? I'd like to see what other people are doing...

I decided not to do it, I will make a texture pack later, but I do not really feel like making one right now, and I cannot even find all of the textures.

Allright, I'm gonna start a texture pack of my own, but I think it might take a while... Finished my robot skin :3

Very nice skin, however maybe it shouldn't be PERFECTLY symmetrical. I'll show you mine to give you an example. And did I mention you can use head accessories? The template is essentially a copy of the head textures section, positioned right next to it in the PNG.

Yeah, I looked up the template online to guide me through it, but I don't think mine needs a hat. Also, most robots are symmetrical. Cyborgs, on the other hand, are supposed to be very asymmetrical.
I also enjoy the way I made the hands and feet with the transparency so it has claw hands and cool feet.

You can also press F1 to remove all GUI and handheld renderings from the screen, and F2 to take a screenshot that doesn't include your computer's window border. Trust me, it looks much nicer.

Yesh. But the default texture is so f**king ugly, and I don't like playing with that on. And I don't want to use anybody else's pack either.. Except maybe Lew's, but he's about as far away from finishing as I am atm.

Btw, I'm using the stuff you've made so far until I finish my stuff. I just REALLY don't like the default.

K. Do you like my redstone gem powered rails, or should I make something more like the original?

I like your rails. To be honest, the further away from the original, the better.

*Bump* Better Redstone, Lapis, Sandstone, Endstone, 1.2.4 coloured planks. Also started items, will update progress on them soon.

You should make a better breaking pattern.
As for me, I'm about 10% done with everything. As I get sick of working on one .png, I work on another.

What constitutes a "better" breaking pattern? What do you mean by "better"? That would probably be helpful for Lew102...

By "better", I mean more organized and clean. The one he has now is messy and doesn't really make sense.

It's just overdone. Anyway, I can't be bothered redoing it... Logs now fit with the colour scheme instead of having uglily shaded grain, and improved crafting tables.

Bump and doublepost. Too many changes to bother mentioning. It's feeling more like a texture pack, before it was just pixel art whacked onto a Minecraft template. Also, MCPatcher files for custom lava still. Should I just start posting the actual zip folder via mediafire? It'd be much easier...

This is how much I have done. You'll be able to tell when the default pack comes in. Also I'm still working off of the 1.1 .png. That tells you how much I've been working on this And Lew, everything looks so much better, but I can't say the new furnace is better than the old one.

Well, I thought the old furnaces were too cartoonish. Also your link is broken, and I really want to see what yours looks like.

Dammit, bloody tinypic. I did more to it anyway. Mostly the ore blocks, but I made some changes to the other things too. EDIT: Did the ores, except for lapis.

... Ocrap. Nice textures... EDIT: Small update to mine. Redstone is actually decent-looking now. Would you say the palette for mine is more of a drawback or a characteristic? EDIT2: Started items quite a while ago, just haven't showed it yet.

Characteristic for sure.
And I like the items, but some of the things are a little bit too cartoony, like the swords. And the brick shouldn't be that flat.
And it's good you've updated the redstone, because I have about 20 stacks of redstone in my survival world I'm starting to use, and... yeah..
And REDO THE BREAKING PATTERN. A;SLDKJF

I've recently obtained McPatcher, and it has awesome aesthetic features. I'm probably going to include RandoMobs files, it adds so much more atmosphere to the game.

Optifine is better. But I'm doing that too.

I tried using randomobs, but it didn't work. I now have only zombie.png in my mob folder, and RandoMobs disabled on McPatcher. But for some reason my zombie textures don't work. Any ideas?

I've been working on this for about two hours straight now making edits and drawing new stuff. And I changed the color of the iron ore closer to the original because one of my irl friends bitched about it. I'm also trying to keep different texture themes constant so it's more like a texture pack rather than a jumble of pixel art.
