There are many threads for this, but I will say...
I have been playing Piano for 7 years, and Trumpet for 3 years.

Once you get to the second page, your thread is on the brink of death. The third? Forget it.
But anyway, I've played the flute for a couple of years. It's sort of breaking down, the wood on the first trill key broke off, and I lost the cap on my head joint, and when I play F# it comes out as an F unless I physically hold open the keys, and other stuff like that...I might need a new one.
I also play Piano, I'm moderately fine at it. Played it for 5 years, and I got an 84 on my lvl 5 exam. Not much else to say.

I play the piano. I used to play recorder and violin.

I have a violin, but no teacher, and I seriously don't think you can learn to play violin finely without an instructor. I used to take guitar classes, now I just practice by myself. Violin, however...

Clarinet, recorder, a little guitar, a little piano, hopefully will learn soprano sax and E flat clarinet. And I still need to learn like 50 chords and notes on the guitar, plus my guitar is a piece of crap :/

To be honest with you, I never "memorized" most chords. I started learning the basic ones, then, after learning a little theory i could do most complicated chords without needing to memorize them.

Tenor sax (which extends to basic knowledge of all mid-range saxes), used to play clarinet (sucked at it), used to be good at piano (dropped it for uselessness), and I'm not counting the very little elementary school brush with violin and recorder as actually knowing how to play them.

used to be good at piano (dropped it for uselessness) Don't talk about pianos that way! >:U Anyways, I also played recorder, and I am learning to play trombone.

I'm actually very good a theory compared to most, so this actually helps a lot. I'm doubting I will learn anything new. If I get to level 8 on piano then I can legally teach piano students, so it's my emergency job, if I can't find anything.

No offence, recorder? Wtf? Well I got a set of electric drums for xmas, and I'm going to continue to learn how to play for till the end of time.

Ikr? We were forced to learn it in 5th grade. 3 years later, and I still know how to play it. XD.

Sorry if I may of offended other recorder players, just I find the instrument pointless unless you're a master of it.

Heh, heh. It is kinda pointless. Like, I don't see a real use for it other than schools having to teach you it in the 5th grade.

I shall defend the recorder. And my most powerful argument is this:
GENTLE GIANT!

I've played the piano...a long time. I got 3 trophies for scoring a 100% on theory tests. I've also played the violin for 4 years.

Theory gets pretty boring after a while, especially when you like Jazz. It doesn't mean that it's not necessary, however, (Modal Jazz, etc)...
Wow, so many violin players. I wish I could learn too =\

Playing piano for half my life. Long time when you think about it. So long that I have 3 trophies, and 7 Piano Composer Statues.

Violin is extremely hard to know learn to play. Only with perfect fingerings, bowing, and form can you actually get a note right. Then you need to learn vibrato to make it sound better. I don't even know why I still play it...

I know the basics pretty much, the problem is that... It's just the basics.

I personally play the drums. Quite fun little things. I usually play with the band I'm in, which is pretty fun.

I would love to play the drums, but they're too expensive.

I've always wanted to play drums. My friend wants to rip his hair out if you tap some pencils on a table long enough. It'd be fun to watch him scream at actual drums.
