Anti-Counterfeiting Trade AgreementWhat should those words mean to you? The end of the internet as we know it? Probably. Check out all the following: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-Counterfeiting_Trade_Agreementwww.stopacta.info/www.eff.org/issues/actaACTA is like an upgraded SOPA. Not only does it affect the whole Internet (and allows arrests on copyright infringement without having to give a valid reason),but it also affects a number of other things (such as agriculture and pharmaceuticals). The USA, Canada, Australia, Japan and some other countries had signed it last year and a great number of European countries signed it thi. Joy of Joys! Reason it didn't get any publicity is because the media never caught on... (I wonder why) I'd like to tell all of you about it so that you can tell everyone else in turn and spread the word. (seeing as it's been kept all hushed up) Have a shitty day. I attached a (final I think) version of it I downloaded to this post. Attachments:

I appreciate your attempt to inform those on the forum about the situation but please use less sarcasm if this is your goal.

K, so it's impossible to use sarcasm to inform someone.
So if it's SOPA all over again on an international scale, then GV needs to come and post his awesome textwalls for a reference.

Let's put it this way. 11 years in prison for posting a video of Michael Jackson dancing that you don't have rights to on YouTube, 9 years for KILLING Michael Jackson. I think there's something wrong with that picture.

Actually. Edited. Since I guess you all want a super serious version. Oh and here's a global petition if you want to sign or not.

The discussion isn't about MJ's death, it's about ACTA.

Wow, I wouldn't have even realised the pun if you didn't mention it. Yes, I think it was that bad. XD
Anyway, ACTA isn't really good. It'll probably shut down a couple of sites I go to. :/ Oh well. All we can do is hope that the regent doesn't make their decision for ACTA.
