I do not believe I have ever seen someone make a thread regarding the proper way to post advertisements on the Dan-Ball Comment boards, so I've decided to make my own.
Welcome! If you are reading this message, you are one of the many active forum users that have a fondness for sand games. In this thread I will show you how to properly advertise on the Dan-Ball Comment boards and achieve successful results.
The Community and You
As you may have noticed, the majority of the Dan-Ball community consists of users who have a taste for some or all of the sand games provided at the Dan-Ball website. Luckily here at the Dan-Ball Forum we provide countless boards and threads designed to enhance user communication about the games they enjoy! It doesn't matter whether you like playing Stick Ranger or Ham Race, or prefer Liquid Webtoy to Powder Game. Everyone that visits this forum is welcome to actively participate in its events and social gatherings.
The Dan-Ball Comment Boards
The Dan-Ball Comment boards are where many users like to express their thoughts about the games they play and also discuss them with other users. Note the restrictions the comment boards place on users. For one thing, they can only have around up to four posts per twenty-four hours, and also can hardly individualize themselves except for a name and text color. They also cannot create their own threads or sections about what they specifically want to talk about.
By knowing these limitations, you can greatly enhance your advertising skills!
Things to Consider When Posting in the Comment Boards
It is always important to remember the four post per day rule. A good advertiser will go directly to the point and not take up a text wall of space. A good advertiser will also not waste their posts arguing with other users who are also posting on the comment boards.
Proper Posting
A proper comment board post has these qualities:
An example of a proper post in the comment boards would look like this:
Before You Go
Remember that you represent the Dan-Ball Forum community when posting in the comment boards. It is always best to ignore comments that are mean or are bashing the Dan-Ball Forums. You will save more time (and posts!) by ignoring these messages. Now that you know all there is about advertising, go out there and show us what you as a member can do!

Proper Posting
A proper comment board post has these qualities:
- Friendly - You always want to make yourself look friendly when presenting an advertisement. If the person advertising is friendly, then so must be the people in the community they go to. Arguing and flaming other users only makes yourself and the community look worse, and people will not see the Dan-Ball Forum as a welcoming place
- Directly to the point - Your post is clear about what the Dan-Ball Forum is and what you can do there.
- A direct link to the Dan-Ball Forum website - Remember to put at the end of your post the link to the home page of the Dan-Ball Forums! (http://danballforum.proboards.com/index.cgi). This is the final way to seal the deal when making an advertisement.
