Well, it's definitely a thing. I'll probably save it. Good movie villain rant at any rate.
Though, I must say about the slogan-and-pledge thing: No, the US is not in any way a Christian nation. It says outright that people have freedom of religion. The actual slogan is "E Pluribus Unum". It was only changed to "In God We Trust" (and added to the pledge) during the communist scare, and if you think things done out of fear of the communists represent the nation as a whole over all of its years, you have issues.
Of course, you don't have to trust your teachers and friends to know what the Treaty of Tripoli says. You can just take a look at a copy yourself.
That said, there's so many contradicting points here I'm not entirely sure what point it is you are trying to make. Mind summarizing it so that it can be read in one breath?

Ooooh, okay. The whole post makes a ton more sense now. I think it's a bad thing that I took it seriously for awhile there.
Come to think of it, that explains why it's in creative works.

The Americas is primarily Christian. The USA itself is still majority Christian, but is becoming less and less religious. The South was much more religious generations ago.
