I thought the nonjas wanted a light red... Ah well.
What color would VIROS want? Green?
KEY
Nonja Empire (Qwerty): FF5555 Poi Dar Gam (Glove): F2BD6B Pastaland (Elmach): D02020 ELTONEYES' LAND (Elton): 8F0000
United Arab Emirates, Oman, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Israel, Turkey, Iran and West Bank, all together, is no bigger than Nonja Empire/Poi Dar Gam/Elton's land, seperately. That is the entire Arabian Peninsula, right?
Speaking of which, what would Eltoneyes want for his country's name?
This is the current map. I have not added Virosland yet. Mainly because I don't know where United Arab Emirates, Oman, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Israel, Turkey, Iran and West Bank are. Plus, I'm not sure how much of it belongs to you.
I suggest giving him the entire Arabian Peninsula. It is in no way bigger than Poi Dar Gam or the Nonja Empire. ObG, I did get your country's name right, right?
Yes, the entire Arabian Peninsula plus some of the itty bitty countries between Africa and the Peninsula. I would like this as my color, and I would like it to be named "Great Arabia".
Great Arabia is a large empire, headed by Salid Dalid (Sahl-Eed Doll-Ihd). It largely specializes in commerce, and is a producer of luxury goods for governments and traders around the world. Oil and natural gas are abundant, although are mostly useless in this early time in the world, they will be a source of money later on. Clockwork, water-powered, and wind-powered dynamos are the most common devices. Religion is almost completely unknown, with the almighty coin taking the place of any god. Religion seems to be almost actively stamped out by merchants who do not take kindly to "morals" and "sins" getting in the way of their business. The monarch rarely takes part in the affairs of his people, as they are relatively good at self-management. Guilds of merchants, artisans, and traders have a monopoly over most goods.
I need to get the map done! @viros/Great Arabia I will give you the entire peninsula to the Suez Canal. Once I get time to make the map. KEY
Nonja Empire (Qwerty): FF5555 Poi Dar Gam (Glove): F2BD6B Pastaland (Elmach): D02020 United Federation of Amari (Elton): 8F0000 Great Arabia (VIROS): 008080 TSLLAND: 460046 ... I'm changing map type. I'm getting an equal-area one this time. ... This one is equal area.
In other words, Great Arabia is bigger than the Nonja Empire... Waitwut? The Nonja Empire is bigger than Amari... which is bigger than Great Arabia...
You know what?
I think the areas are the same.
(Making map now) Map as of December 4, 2010, 4:44PM PST
TSL is now making the map. He will also officially enter in a few minutes.
Ok guys. I apologize greatly for being lazy and not joining or making the map, etc. Tentatively, I have laid claim to all the land in Europe between Russia and France, not including Scandinavia. This may change before the game officially starts.
I am going to go to my other computer and make the new map. I am going to be using the same blank map that was used for NGI, since it is much bigger and clearer, and allows for more space to put in armies, labels, etc. I will post it here tonight, and I will also name my country and write out all its information.
I'd suggest you two get rid of Greater Arabia first, then focus on each other. They have no morals. Or, you could team up and take over the world. WAITWUT!?
Err... on second thought, don't. Sorry.
But still, three countries together are going to stalemate, you know. If A and B attack each other, then C can attack them both. If A and B have a treaty to attack C, then A should break it and attack B. You know that B is going to attack C. If he doesn't, and attacks you, then you better well be prepared!
This is no way helps my situation. But why, Nonja Empire, would you attack the lowly force of Pastaland? Treat us well, and we will give you pasta! And ramen! Treat us badly, and we shall poison your ramen supply!
That my good sir, is where you are wrong. Great Arabia isn't interested in war with the other nations, it is going to expand into unclaimed areas and provide the other nations with luxury goods.
Alrighty. Me and Viros have worked out a deal on chat. Viros has relinquished his claim on Arabia and has instead taken Iran and Pakistan. I have claimed Arabia and a few African countries. Everyone is good to go, unless anyone else wants to join.
My African territories are secondary to my Arabian territories. I don't have much use for them right now, and they are not important to the storyline I plan to have. As such, I will mainly be concentrating on Arabia. I might come up with a use for the African countries shortly. I may even have a separate nation made out of them...
The people of ancient Arabia simple refer to it as 'Shibh Al-Jazirat Al-'Arabiya' (The Arabian Peninsula) or 'Al-'Arabiya' (Arabia). The people here are mainly nomadic, tribal pagans. Many tribes are almost always in a state of war with some other tribe, though some may be allies.
EDIT: Elton, you can't have that huge of an area. We're giving you 1/3 of Russia. Take it or leave it.
Dhoom, you can't have all of Canada. It's too big. You can have half of it though. Just tell me which half and what color you want it to be.
EDIT: For aesthetic appeal, all non-player countries have been colored in green on the map.

Pastaland's capitol (The Great Spaghetti City) is in that bend in the Spaghetian Peninsula, we have a city at the tip (Penne City) and a fort (The Lasagne Fort) at the other end.
Ehh... one problem: I haven't made a naval force unit. Could I just have 3 Defenders of the Pasta instead?
@ Dhoom: Ok, I divided it, but you've gotta choose a color.
@ 2MN2: Sure, that works.
=============================
Changed my mind a teensy bit about my nation. Keeping the same countries, but my story and government is different. Here's my new story:
In earlier times, the Arabian Peninsula was home to nomadic tribes, constantly at war with each other. The Peninsula was extremely divided. But in recent decades, one major tribe has suppressed the weaker ones and taken control of the entire Peninsula. Once they gained enough power, they invaded parts of Africa and placed them under their rule, enslaving many of the people there.
The ruler of this Arabian empire is a ruthless nobleman know as Saif-ibn-Shahir. He and his government cronies rule by fear and an iron fist, and Saif is always hungry for more land and power...
====================================
There. Now I'm officially ready to start. Forget my last post. Also, I'm going to go ahead and add my armies now.

This sounds like fun. I'll join. Could I have Thailand, Laos and Cambodia? My color will be Orange (Hex ff6600)
Could you elaborate a little on the research and the math combat for the sake of us who have not played Nonja? You really do make a lot of references to it. Just to make sure I don't do something stupid. You can just send me a PM.
Leader: King Blaise "Buggy" Svennson (Not my actual name) Government type: Monarchy, as above mentioned. History/Info: Starting out as a simple group of tribes meeting only once annually, my people were only defending themselves from other tribes. They believe in one God they call Yellon(Great One). They speak Mekild a sort of half-way point between English and Latin. That is until Buggy, who introduced science and the number 793, came from the North and quickly grew in fame until 'elected' to be monarch. That is when they discovered that the Earth is round and figured that there may be other people on this world, possibly even knowing King Svennson, whose origin is unknown. Here's where I would put in epic victory stories, but they haven't happened yet. (jk)
I'll put more info in when I learn more about how to play.
EDIT: Oh! RIGHT! KINGDOM NAME! I'll go with "Bugna" (Buggy's people)
You do realize that the penguins started the Global Warming Conspiracy to take over the world, right? Their cuteness is only rivaled by cats. Which were once gods. So yeah...
Water flooding your town can be a reason to not rebel against something... Just in case, though... I for one welcome our new feathery overlords.
On-topic: 2MN2- you look like you know what you're doing. Could you just give me an overview at the very least in a PM of... well... how to play? ...yeah. Thanks.
I just described my military unit (Defenders of the Pasta), the swords and shields, then put them in a fort. I just put cities on my map. Speaking of which, here is where the cities should be:
lol Well, thanks at least for being honest. In that case I'll also take Vietnam and put one city at the tip of Vietnam, one at Bangkok and one at Phnom Penh(capital of Cambodia). Being once a tribal group, all my cities are very close.
