Hello to all! I am Shirogake, and am here now to help you understand these forums. If you join, there are many features for you to enjoy. Keep in mind, many have contributed to this, and it no longer represents my original text.
Note: In transferring to the new forum, this was re-posted by QwertyuiopThePie.
Now let's begin.
What are Dan-Balls and Karma?
Dan-Balls are a currency that you can use to buy things from the Dan-Ball Shop. All things have different prices, so you may not have enough to buy something at one time. You gain two per post, some winning contests, doing things for the forum, recruiting, etc.
Karma is a way of how members respect you. If someone is nice and helpful, you can exalt. If someone is mean and rude, you can smite them. It's just a show of respect. You can also win them in contests.
Why do people have different words and stars?
You're either looking at their post rank, or their staff rank (If they have one).
Post rank isn't much of a biggie, it just serves as a recognition for their post number. These are the ranks.
Why do some people have different ranks?
If someone has a rank that's not on this list, they are probably a staff member. I'll tell you a bit about them. Thanks to GV and GGoodie for the updated table.

Rank | Explanation of Function |
Site Owner | Beware, for he is General Veers. He is always watching. Always. While not the original founder of the forum, he is its current owner. In order to avoid mistakes from the past, he shares his account's password with the two Administrators, who can use the all-supreme admin account in the event of unforeseeable circumstances. Angering him is worse than jumping in a pool of nitroglycerin and sharp objects. On fire. Don't worry, staying on his good side is rewarding, figuratively and literally... |
Administrator | They are General Veers's essential equals (as are all staff, but these are nearly so in power, too) In technicality, the forum is ruled as an oligarchy, so they are equal. However, Veers is generally acknowledged as the main admin. They administrate the forums and handle management within staff. They are known as QwertyuiopThePie (also the chat owner) and xShadowLordx. Since TSL has been rather inactive lately, we have promoted V.I.R.O.S. to an Admin for the time being. They've been here almost since the site began, and they are considered high staff as well. Together with Veers, they form the Triumvirate, which is the head body of the staff system. They have access to the site coding and will be able to do what is necessary to improve and protect these forums, as well as Dan-Ball shop transactions pertaining to that coding. They have access to the administrator password of the forum, as stated above. They are friendly people, but you better not mess with them... |
Global Moderator | The current Global Moderators are known as FoxtrotZero, Micro Farad and Rock. They have staff powers in all categories, including censor codes, Dan-Balls and such, but do not have as many powers as Administrators. Global Moderators are still very capable of serving justice, and should be respected like all staff. |
Moderators | The Moderators are new to the staff team, with the exception of the exception of our current Mods, who've been Staff members for months. They're Paradox and secret. Each moderator only has powers over their assigned category or categories. Paradox and secret both only have control over the Powder Game category due to their roles as Element Keepers. |
Chat Moderators | Our current list of chat moderators is: Outdated Note that the bots are included. These staff members have power over the chat, and can ban you, delete your posts, or decide on appropriate punishments. If they are needed, you may contact them through either Chatango's private chat or a private message on the forum. While not all chat moderators are staff members, many are. |
