That definitely wasn't sarcasm. But I slept on my decision, and decided it was wrong, at least for now, so I will stay. Even though the staff are lying abusers.

Oh come on. I told you the rank was for the graphics work on the Halloween contest. I never said it was permanent, although I was planning on making it permanent until you called all of us a bunch of lying abusers. We certainly haven't lied to you or abused anyone.

Says nothing about it being only for your little project. Why are we still having this conversation?

I think the part that you got paid for your work and the prefix "semi-" gave away that you were only commissioned, not actually made permanent staff. I stress the "paid for your work" part.

And we discuss him staying staff in the Guide to Forum knowledge?
Eitherway. The stars in the table are still messed up. I know it doesn't matter that much but it would be nicer if it was fixed.

@~Memzak~
God and Omnipotent are generally the same thing. Though there are many exceptions.

He doesn't make the ranks. Anyway, they aren't exactly the same thing. You can be all-knowing without being a god.

Exactly. Although having supreme above omnipotent is a bit silly in my eyes...

It doesn't really matter.

Post by ~Memzak~ on Nov 15, 2010 15:53:24 GMT
Not in this thread it doesn't, but I'm going to bring it up a lot in the Forum Ideas thread, maybe even put a vote to it.

Post by Qwerty on Nov 16, 2010 4:53:42 GMT
Why bother? Supreme is by definition superior to Omnipotent, I really don't see an issue with it. Certainly not enough to bring it to a vote.

Then can is at least be size 4?

Post by Qwerty on Nov 16, 2010 5:58:14 GMT
Size 4? Ew, no. Titles can't be bigger than others, then it's just ugly and ridiculous.

Then how about a different font for it? Something has to be special about it, I mean it is the highest rank there is...

|
Post by Fringe Pioneer on Nov 16, 2010 6:17:47 GMT
The fact that it alone has 10 stars?
|
|
|
Post by ~Memzak~ on Nov 16, 2010 7:07:36 GMT
That too... but I was thinking a different font... oh well. It seems like It's going to stay the way it is, so I'm just going to drop it.

You can't be all knowing and not be god. Maybe you don't realize the power of omnipotent persons.

You can be omnipotent and not be god. You could be an atheist.

You can't be all knowing and not be god. Maybe you don't realize the power of omnipotent persons. You can very easily be all-knowing and not be a god. They mean completely different things. The Greek Gods, for instance, were not Omnipotent. Nowhere in the definition of Omnipotent does it say "A god" and nowhere in the definition of "A god" does it say "Omnipotent". You can be all knowing and not be a god. Maybe you don't realize the dictionary definition of omnipotent persons.

Thank you. What he said.
nololbutseriously...
He is correct, the two definitions are not linked. Some gods were coincidently omnipotent (like the christian god) but then again that's only some and does not in any way link the definition.

The box with all the staffs needs to be updated. Vertigo is no longer, I'm a mod, and maybe a little more info about the Global Mods....

We seriously need to remember this more often. How about chat mods? Do we list them?
|
|
|
Post by ~Memzak~ on Dec 1, 2010 11:05:29 GMT
Depends, do all of them have forum accounts? Should we have a picture of their chat account avatar in there too? (because forum accounts are often slightly different from chat accounts)
Who are all of the Chat mods at the moment anyways?

|
Post by Rock on Dec 1, 2010 11:56:57 GMT
Bentbox (Yonder) Temporarily9 (Qwerty) General Veer XXXtheGreat (Paradox) b0t TheShadowLord
There are more....I just can't remember them.

Whoa, Bentbox was yonder?
I didn't know that until now. Perhaps we really should make this table, although including screenshots of each person account would also be nice. (AKA a picture of Bentbox with his avatar on chat next to a link Yonders account?

Maybe after we get the chat mod list sorted out. Current list: imagebin.ca/img/w0jpVo.pngWe don't need an individual section for them, we can just add another staff category to list them. There's only three ranks in chat: Me, mods, and everyone else. Maybe another table, but "everyone else" is hardly noteworthy. Screenshots are unnecessary, we can just include their name in parentheses.
