The Battle of the West Outpost
|

As the skies clear, the sunlight blazed through the gaps in the clouds and the time to attack has come.
"Attack!" I shouted and the whole army burst forward in attack.
The Pyro's at the front heated up the general battle field and cleared a lot of the snow for better mobility. They also incinerated any phoenix soldier who came too close to the flames.
RP, post commands, post fights post all that is needed for this battle in this thread.

Thank you Rabidbadger.
The cytronian army has flooding the battle field now, attacking all enemies in sight. The SR legion mixed in the bunch are also co-ordinating attacks in groups of four.
FORWARD! The cytronian queens send out through their hive mind.

Are you part of the phoenix army? If so, why don't you actually try and defend your outpost and try to keep us from conquering it.
It was at this point that the outpost started launching a proper defense.
It was sending tanks through to try and get troops past the first wave of pyro without being burnt to ashes. The cytronians quickly surrounded a tank as soon as it come through the first line and attacked it form all angles. They'd also lock joints and limbs to keep the tank from opening and moving.
The drone core and the SR legion are also doing something similar.

The bezerkers enter the fight, going head-to head with the Phoenix tanks. A bezerker is shot in the mouth, its head being torn off, but in its place another bezerker leaps onto the tank and starts to hack at the armour. On the horizon, a black cloud advances; the stormbugs far off but approaching with some alacrity.

Arty, are you on the phoenix's side or just a random bystander who is neutral but offers popcorn?
I sit press a button. It's the secret weapon that tells the cytronian queens to execute a special code.
Suddenly all about two dozen groups of a dozen each start grouping up on the battle field. They were covered form injury by other cytronians protecting them. Their joins locked, brains merged, weapons groups and limbs thickened. Soon there were two dozen mega Cytronians on the field. Each comprised of twelve or more normal cytronians and they had increased power, intelligence and bigger weapons. Each took the form of a beast like humanoid that walked on all fours. It had most of it's weapons on it's front two limbs and it's face.
One ran up to a tank, opened its mouth and literally bit through the metal and as their metal tongue entered the tank it shot all movement it could see via a mounted cytronian face on it.
Things were looking good for the Memzakian army, all we need is for the botnet to take down their systems so that we can take advantage of the chaos after it has been taken down.

Pie: Wait, how did you get in this secured Memzakian base?
As to the botnet, it's all ready, but I still need some form of connection to them. Preferably something to connect them to the internet. When that is done their whole computer system will be taken.

"Alright qwerty, I suspected as much." I said.
I then got required files for a small wireless connection device that can directly connect our infastructure to theirs. I launched the files to a queen and she passed it on to all cytronian troops. One of the cytronian beasts then ran out from the flank of the battle and came in at another angle to attack the outpost. The troops by that portion of the wall were easy to take out as it jumped over the wall. (with aid from jetpack)
As it was inside the beast split up back into the original 13 Cytronians that merged to make it. They all split up to find places to connect too. 3 out of the 13 managed to connect and give us direct access to their local system via three highspeed connection ports. Now all we have to do is use these ports to crack the inside system and open them up to the internet without and operating firewall, launching the botnet attack and crashing their systems.
10 of the Cytronians signals were soon teminated and then soon after another one died... We now only have two points, and they should keep a low profile as something is clearly out to get them.
"Qwerty, do your magic, we have multiple people trying to get inside of the system to open up the firewall so that it is vulnerable to the internet. Something is hunting the cytronians down though. You'll have very little time to found out where they are on the internet at least and then find out some details about the firewall. If we don't have enough time to shut the firewalls down from the inside, then use the botnet to bash them down from the outside, the internet. But please hurry."

Arti, who the hell are you? We'll just assume you are an ally, even though you vouched for the enemy. I mean if we wanted to we could kill you easily as this is our board after all...
"Qwerty, we've lost another Cytronian, you only have one link to their network left. Hurry please!" I said as a Cytronian link was destroyed. We'll be lucky if we make it in time.

(OOC:WHOA!) "Time for some tactics." Upon my command, the Wheel Riders, who had been scattered in the original attack, grouped into clusters, each wheel about 20 yards apart. The clusters focused their fire on individual tanks, and began eating away at their defense. The Magicians were mixed in with these clusters. As per command, the gunners and snipers started shooting their men through the windows, and slowly disabling the tanks, and, the gladiators closed in on the disabled tanks, killing the men by stabbing into the tanks with their swords. Our wheel clusters started getting blown away as their rockets started aiming, so I ordered the Wheel Riders to take evasive action, and perform hit-and-runs. Magicians were to stay long range. The Whippers and Boxers started boarding the empty tanks, with boxer/whipper as gunner, and the priests serving as driver, while switching to full defensive, placing defensive shields around the tanks. After some inital confusion, the phoenix tanks started blasting all our exposed men and even some of our new tanks, which were noted by the green aura around them. Aleksandry and I got in tanks, right next to each other. I commanded my priest to get us into the heart of our battle. Our legion was getting decimated, though, with only some magicians and wheel Riders, and the stolen tanks remianing.

Pie: Right, time to work my magic. That firewall is practically nonexistent, it wasn't supposed to deal with the internet and it was designed long ago. I have the botnet ready to strike, but before I do so I am going to transfer their important files. From there I can block off communications from this base to the others.
Naturally the attack won't be extended. I'll simply attack portions of their system while I use others to find more detailed information about their technology and security codes, and other things we could use.
Oh, and I'm opening the doors... now.

I jump out of my tank as a rocket hits it, dive, roll, and grab on to another tank. Thw wheel riders start clustering up again with the magicians. A machien gun tails me as I punch through the window and open the door, shcoking the tank and killing its inhabitants. Another machinegun targets me, and a bullet catches me in the arm. "Ahk!" I get in an empty tank, and gun the acceleration, when my tank loses control, hit by a rocket launcher. Aleksandry's tank gund through the opposition, and the door of my tank flies off, and the blast makes me fly out of it. My tank collides with an enemy tank. Both explode. On the ground, I order a fallback. I message Memzak. "I could use some help here! I'm getting decimated!"

"And help is on the way, since this is only the West Outpost, their numbers DON'T outnumber us, but their tech still does." I said as I ran into battle, body immersed inside a mech suit, comprised of two dozen cytronians and bigger than cytronian beasts.
I ran up to a take and with one mech hand bashed through the top and shot anything that moved inside of it.
"Like it? You should, it's custom designed. We could have one ready for you too, if you'd like to use one." I said as running and covering for Lev. "Pie, well done, we had literally seconds before our cytronian connection was lost. The botnet attack seems to be beginning to work, I'm noticing a slowing down of communications between tanks and encrypted radio messages. " I said.
"Q1 and Q2, strategy 33_44/122" I said to the cytronian queens, all over out encrypted radio system.
Their tanks are running low in numbers and we were nearly right up against their walls. We'll need to get through and take the control room. It should be the room East of us. (since we are attacking the West outpost from west to east) We'll need to kill all commanders in the room and send out a message to all troops to either surrender, join our ranks or die.
"Finally" I said under by breath as the Queens reacted to my strategy activation. There were four Cytronian beasts around me and 8 small troops of cytronians in front of us. (each troop of a dozen or more) We were going straight for the main gate to bring it down. I took out the massive plasma rifle (by me I mean my mech suit as I am basically controlling it like my own body)
"Fire at the gate!" I said.

"Well that was anti-climactic." I said as all the forces around me were about to storm the gate and now are just watching it lower in bewilderment...
"STORM THE OUTPOST!" I said, so that we didn't waste time. We must find the control room and take it. We must take the West outpost!

Arty looks at the battle. Hmmmm... Maybe i should help Memzak. Wait a minute! Arty looks in his backpack. He still got his military equipment: A Jetpack, an Assault Rifle, a Magnum and a bunch of Frag Grenades. Arty gets in his gear and flies up the Phoenix base. He notices a ventilation shaft which he blows up with a Frag Grenade. He crawls trought the ventilation shaft. till he sees a hole. He looks down and sees Phoenix Soldiers running to the Entrance to surprise the Memzakians once the come in. Arty jumps out of the ventilation shaft and throws two Frag Grenades at the Phoenix Squad. The yget blown up and Arty runs trough the cloud of dust and presses a button that opens the door. Outside the Memzakian Army is waiting... "Come in" Arty says.

Arty, thanks. Would you consider actually joining the Memzakian Army? (there's a thread somewhere else in this board for you to sign up on)
We could use someone of your talents.
We charged through the gate as it opened and were greeted by a bunch of freshly killed soldiers. Soon after we were in, many squadrons of soldiers came and attacked us. The cytronian troops took cluster formation and fought it out with the general troops. We were pushing forward.
"Keep going! We can do it!" I said as we neared the large, heavily protected structure in the middle of the West Outpost. It was a solid dome with no real entrance. There probably was a hidden entrance underground.
We'll have to blow a hole in the side of the dome to try and get in. The more damage we cause to the people in that dome, the better for us. We'll completely level it when we are done anyways to make room for the Memzakian Army's HQ when we take the base.

We have some, but they are not much of an improvement. You could get some researchers together and perhaps research some even more advanced tech in this thread. (The same way I am researching seeds and weather manipulation tech) Welcome to the army.
"For the moment, we have slight upgrades to your current tech, not much, but still a heck of a lot better." I said as I handed him an magnetized ion jetpack. I also gave him a plasma G-332 Model rifle. One of the best.
"Enjoy your new jetpack, especially if you have a need for silent speed!"
We arrived at the middle of the outpost. We needed to search the area for underground tunnels perhaps, to take it out from the inside. I ordered as many cytronian troops to go back to back around the perimeter of the dome. The ones facing inward to try and find a way in and do as much damage to is as possible, the ones facing outwards to cover for them.
The destroyer beasts (the dozen merged cytronians) were converging on a single point to try and break through the wall. It seemed to be very structurally sound, any attack from the outside is made much less, but an attack from the inside could collapse it.
"Artifact, do you think you can find a way in?" I said as I handed him a remotely detonated bomb launcher.
"These bombs will stick to the surface you shoot it on and will all detonate once you give the command. Please try to escape before you detonate them."

Unfortunately, I was too busy fighting through their outer defenses to storm the base. A rocket exploded a few feet away from me, and I was lucky enough to avoid the brunt of the explosion, by diving. Aleksandry's stolen tank had been destroyed, and Aleksandry stuck his Iron Sword 1 through the window of one of the last tanks. We got in, and shot at some of the few remaining tanks. Both my legion and the Phoenix tank legion had been taken out to low numbers.

Arty flies trough the ventilation shaft and follows the coordinates. He reaches the place and there are no Phoenix soldiers guarding it. This is going to be easier than i tought, he tought. But it was a trap. After he planted the Time Bomb and set the time on 10 Minutes he turned his back to fly back up trough the ventilation shaft. But then a squad of Phoenix soldiers leaded by an officcer appeared out of nowhere. The officcer aimed a gun at my head. "How do you defuse this?" he asked. "Que dices?"(what did you say?). The officcer was surprised by this answer. "Translate that" he said to one of the soldiers. The soldier grabbed a Field Laptop and opened Google Translate. "Tienes que pulsar el boton verde" i said. "Press the green button"translated the soldier. The soldiers surrounded the Time Bomb. The officcer still aimed his gun at my head. "The green button send out a EMP blast" i tought, "If the soldiers press the button, they will get electrocuted and at the same time i will borrow the officcer his gun and shoot them all down". I saw it all in slowmotion: The soldiers where launched in the air by a electronic blast and i punched the officcer in his face and grabbed his gun. Blam! One shot kill. The soldiers were unconcious and i flew back outside. "Bomb is planted! Let's get the hell out of here!"

Thanks Artifact
"Fall back! Fall back!" I sent out in a signal to everyone near the dome. Everyone backed off and waited.
*Huge explosion erupts from the side of the dome as it gets disintegrated*
"There's a large hole in the side of it, invade!" I said and then all cytronians and devastator (the twelve cytronians merged) swarmed inside and killed all phoenix soldiers there were. I entered too and soon found Artifact on his jetpack.
"Well done Artifact, with this hole we'll be able to take the whole dome within minutes."
Sure enough after a couple of minutes all remaining phoenix commanders were dead and all remaining troops had no command, no central network and no one to accept orders from. We then sent out a radio wave claiming that all remaining troops may either serve us or die. Of course they'd all rather die.
It was easy to eliminate them when they had no central command. We even managed to get at least thirty prisoners which we will torture for information. We then began moving in all the technology from the camp outside the outpost to inside the outpost.
"Well done everyone! Well done!" I said as we all celebrated our victory!
The outpost is large enough for us to expand into it and has enough resources to increase research and Cytronian troop production. The dome was eventually completely demolished and made way for our main command structure. It was of a different form but equally as strong if not better defensively. With the new Small-Scale Habitat improvement almost ready we got multiple locations ready for the devices. It would make living in the antarctic much easier and more reasonable for our organic troops. (The cytronians not minding the weather unless it gets too cold and clogs their joints) We soon had three operational cytronian queens all inside of the central command fort. There were also comfortable living chambers for each commander of the army.
"We'll all settle here and grow in size until we can move on and attack the phoenix army further."
