(OOC: Total edit. HA! You thought Aratain was the second character, eh? THINK AGAIN! He's a puppet!)
REAL Second Character's Name: Soul Bleeder (cleanser of souls) Race: Dissident Dourdolan (Deadlander) Weapon: A crooked, hooked staff that emits a soothing fragrance. Description: Being a Dourdolan, his duty is to protect the Book of the Dourdols (Deadlands). However, this Dourdolan has strayed from that objective. He covers his unsightly skeletal face with a sinister looking stone bird mask. He can take control of weak minded, evil souls in an attempt to "cleanse" them of their evil. Or, the evil ones can be used to try and "cleanse" the more evil ones. Aratain is weak minded and definitely evil; a perfect subject. The Soul Bleeder cannot speak, and must therefore communicate through others. He may also never really appear, but just control Aratain the whole time. Likely, he will never reveal himself. --------------- 'Ah, here we are' thought the Soul Bleeder. 'This body suits me well; I can do much good in this.' He sits up.
"Pardon me, but where am I?" asked Aratain.
"What the...? A Trindel?" said Varoner, "Who are you? Are you a Loyalist or a Trisskan?"
"You could call me a Trisskan. My name is Aratain. I come from a Trindel prison on Procithar."
"Oh, you're a rebel then? Why were you in jail?"
"I tried to overthrow Oldrumal and usurp his throne. I failed, of course. You needn't tell me your name; you are Varoner."
"How do you know that?"
"I know everything. Nice book, by the way."
'That book could be useful.' the Soul Bleeder thought to himself. 'Now, I need a nice glass of water...'

Second character accepted as long as you don't godmod with him. "Lev, that would explain a lot. Looks like we're going to be going back to your homeworld soon. First we'll have to rescue Warp's mother." I said.
"We have all been well rested and are all ready. Well most of us are." I said
"Welcome Varoner and Aratain. You may join us in our battle if you want, but if you dare betray or attack us we'll crush you like a bug." I said.
We all prepared for take off. Yewa got back and made a comple combat potions for us to drink before combat. Lev hopped up onto my back and Thor just readied himself. Warp and Paradox would stay behind and join us a bit later, Warp just REFUSED to wake up no matter how many times we nudged him. I peaked into his mind and he was really sound asleep. We decided to leave without him and leave him a note if he were to ever wake up. (or if paradox would come back from the forest)
We then all took off and activated the mind control gem to search for minds who might know the whereabouts of Warp's mother.
(OOC: If varoner and aratain join us, aratain will be riding on Thor and Varoner on Yewa. You better not be afraid of heights... )

(OOC: Occasionally, Aratain will have these random lapses of his REAL personality. They will be fun...) (Also OOC: Don't worry, he can only control weak, evil minds. He wants to use Aratain to "cleanse" Zexor X. Unless we encounter another wannabe evil guy, he can't control anyone else. And besides, releasing Aratain would likely have disastrous results.) --------------- "Ah, what a nice view." said Varoner. Aratain's expression suddenly changed.
"WHERE AM I!?" he shouted, "HOLY S***! I'M ON A F****** DRAGON!! HOLY-" his expression suddenly turned placid. "Sorry about that. I do that sometimes. Hang on tight to that book, wouldn't want it falling out of the right hands..."

"Oi, don't move so much!" shouted Thor at Aratain as he jumped about for a couple seconds before becoming calm again.
"Heh, looks like a remote mind control... try and keep a better hold on him you almost knocked Thor out of the sky with all your moving. When did I find out about the mind control? Well as soon as I activated the mind control gem to search for Warp's mother I noticed." I said.
We kept flying for a couple minutes until we reached a clearing in the forest. We swirled down and landed.
"I sense a mind nearby, dim, proabaly underground... It's a very twisted mind and this location seems to match Yewa's dream." I said.
"Yes, it does almost perfectly." She replied.
"We should look for an entrance to an underground lair. It's probably well hidden though. Spread out, meet back here in about an hour." I said.

Lev spread out, and heard a rustle in a neary bush. He whirled around. He was still unarmed, having given his gloves to Memzak. Seeing nothing, Lev turned back and continued searching. He heard something jump behind him, and he was held by someting while a hand clamped over his mouth. "Don't you mov-" Lev twisted downwards out of the things grasp, and came back with a hooking uppecut to the corner of its jaw. It looked like a regular human, and although it made his hand ache a little, as the human's jaw was unusually hard- the thug went flying to the ground. It looked like some of his skin came off- but underneath was some strange blue segment. The thug said: "Ya looking for a fight? I can GIVE you a fight!" The thug's skin melted off- but it looked like it wasn't skin at all, just some sort of disguise, as it now looked like some strange humanoid creature with segmented blue organic armor. There was a space where its eyes should be, here there were only two dark blue pinpricks, the same color as its body. A scimitar-like blade-claw extended from each of its arms.
There was an open door where it had ostensibly come from, and two other of the creatures came out: A yellow one and a red one, both the same except for their color. "WHOA! MEMZAK!!" Lev yelled out as the blue one charged at him and slashed his gut with each of the claws. "AUGH!" Lev ducked out of the way of the next attack, a stab that would have impaled him, and Aimed a right straught at the creture. He hurt his hand. Again. "Oh, crap." On second glance the creatures weren't the same after all. One had a morningstar-like ball on a long cord for each of its claw weapons, and another turned to him with seemingly hollow arms, and a spiky-javelin like thing shot at him, which he dodged. The blue one advanced, and Lev rolled into its legs, causing the thing to keel over into the ground. While it got up, The yellow one flailed its flail at him, and the cord wrapped around his neck before the head smashed into his back. Lev manaed to duck against a javelin spike which hit the yellow one because he dodged, and made a small hole in the yellow's armor. Strangling, while the blue one charged a him, Lev ducked. The blue's blade pierced into the yellow one. The yellow creature's eye-lights glowed extremely bright, and it exploded. The other two exploded as well, sending Lev flying for a few yards, before hitting the ground hard. Lev was quite wounded, having many slash marks from the blue, a few deep pierce wounds from the flail, which had also whacked him extremely hard. Not to mention the burns from the explosion.

(OOC: The effects of using the mind gem on Aratain would be interesting. One might even be able to see the other controller's thoughts!) --------------- "Oh no, what was all that noise? Where is Lev? We simply must help him..." said Aratain, in a coldly apathetic tone.

Lev wasn't unconcscious, and despite his many wounds, got up and pulled a javelin-spike from his side. He managed to stagger over to Memzak. "I found the entrance to the lair, but there are these armored... things... and there are quite a few of them... I just got attacked by three. Without my gloves, I was in a bad, bad situation. I'm... wounded. You said Warp was back at camp?"

Aratain looked at the javelin wound at Lev's side.
"That looks painful." stated Aratain. "Somebody really should help him. I would, but I have no medical knowledge, not really having any blood to-" He suddenly stops and says nothing more. "Maybe you should sit down for a moment, Lev." said Varoner. "Yewa, is there anything you can do for that nasty wound?"

(OOC: Yes, using the mind gem with a bit more power on Aratain could give some interesting results. I could try testing it out, but only after this battle.)
"Lev! It's a miracle you survived! Warp is indeed at camp, but camp is a long flight away. The only healing you'd be able to get would be Yewa's potions and creams. I hope it's enough. For not having your gloves, you did pretty well young one. I'm quite proud." I said.
I then called Yewa using the mind gem to come early to the meeting point and then I took Lev with me there.
"He's hurt Yewa, could you look after him? Do you think he'll be healed soon or will it take a while?" I asked.
"It all depends on how his body reacts and how quick his metabolism is." She replied.
"Lev, you did well." I said.
I also entered his mind using the mind gem to find out the exact details of the battle and where entrance was.
"We'll wait until everyone comes back to the meeting point. Then we'll venture into the lair."

"Well, I'm just hoping I- OUCH!- Argh, better not try to get up. I'm just hoping I heal. And, can't you just ask me what happened? I REALLY don't like things in my mind." Lev shuddered. Then yelled "Augh!" and clutched his shoulder

"Well I thought it would be quicker if I went through your mind, because unlike that shadow elemental who forced his way in, I have this... " I then gesture to the minds gem, " ...and can view your thoughts without you even knowing or feeling a thing." I replied.
I then looked at Lev carefully.
"If you wish, I'll ask you the questions out loud. Just try not to hurt yourself by moving too much." I then said.
"So what exactly happened?" I said.
Besides, we had a lot of time to waste before Thor and the rest get back form scouting.

I told him the story. "These things are dangerous. I think something to keep in mind is a throry of mine: their coor corresponds to their weapon. BLue has the blades, yellow has the flail, and red has the javelin."

Due to the Zap, Paradox has now joined me in our venture towards the entrance to the cave.
"Whoa, I just felt funky for a moment... was I just zapped? Anyways, the enemies are color coded and each has a different attack, so watch out!" I said to Paradox.

At first we seemed to sneak in the massive cave just fine, but then Thor spun around recklessly and bashed his tail against the wall. We were soon face to face with five goons. Red, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple. The blue one had claws, yellow had a flail, red shot javelins and green and purple had yet to be discovered...
"Oh look, now you've done it!" I said as we all readied for battle.

"These fiends shall know my fury!" cried Varoner, drawing his sword and diving into the enemies. Aratain drew his cleaver, wielding it rather awkwardly like he was unsure of how to use it. He dropped it.
"Oops." said Aratain, quickly picking his blade up.
'Foolish me! I can't use a sword!' thought the Soul Bleeder. 'Maybe if I just barely release my grip on his soul...'
Aratain starts wielding his blade with great expertise, but he seems to start spasming at random intervals.

The Green one bent where the sword hit him and showed no signs of injury.
"Looks like the green one is mostly liquid!" I said.
The purple one's two hands turned into large hammers.
"....and I guess we found purple's power too!" I added.
I took Clamaxti and attacked the blue one who then parried my attack. I then used the earth gem to shift the earth underneath him, causing him to trip. *Stab*
I backed away quickly as he exploded and escaped harm. Boy, I was glad Lev told me they explode when they die!

Varoner ducked and weaved under the yellow's flail, whilst Aratain looked for an opening to attack it. The thing swung downwards at Varoner, who deftly evaded the attack. Aratain struck it in the back with his cleaver, and the yellow one fell. Varoner quickly leaped away from it, but Aratain suddenly shuddered and collapsed with no warning. It exploded, sending Aratain flying up against the wall, seemingly unconscious. His blade flew past him and stuck into the wall only inches from his body.

Meanwhile, Paradox was fighting with the Green Goon. It was hard to hit when it kept liquefying before he could be damaged, especially with how resilient he is. After a few minutes of frustration, Paradox had a strategy to defeat it: by using the shadows in the cave, he could grip the Green Goon so it would liquidate, and then he would vaporize it with a Death Beam. This worked quite well, until he realized something: the vapor was explosive! "Everyone get down! That vapor's dangerous!"

Sometimes, I think. I think of the most important things in life. Like PG.
The Soul Bleeder, waiting for Aratain's vitals to become stable, decided to help with the purple enemy. He walks to the purple one, in spirit, and pricks its soul with his needle staff. The purple one then suddenly collapses, then gets back up shortly after. He continues to torture the soul, and the purple one continues to collapse.

I really should get into this game; it's the only active RP at the moment, although I wish NGI would hurry up and finish already. Just not my style, I suppose.
The Soul Bleeder seems to be enjoying himself by torturing the soul. Finally, though, the soul had enough. It left its body. The purple enemy fell to the ground and didn't move again. With no soul to govern its body, it just sat there, harmless and unresponsive.
