Fire in real life is essentially not a gas, but the fire in PG is a gas.

A flame (from Latin flamma) is the visible (light-emitting), gaseous part of a fire.~Wikipedia
The only things that don't have mass that I'm aware of are elementary particles such as the neutrino and photon. Flames have mass, otherwise winds would be able to move them....which they can. I think you're confusing flames with the light produced by the flame; the light is only energy given off by the gas.
And no, I'm not trying to start a debate here, just trying to help bluekunai out.

Move it to the state of matter debate thread, this is not the place to argue about this.
And as for coal, it would seem the suggester has not commented in any way about his element, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to deny it for now.

Thanks for the suggestion Rock, but there's no need I'm afraid. I've stated that I don't want a debate in my last post.

I apologize for not being active as PG Element Keeper, but I say that:

Pumice: It is a very light version of stone that behave like powder, only it floats on water. It coould be useful for mking water elevators and stuff like that.

Hmm, interesting. Could it burn? It could also be used as a bridge across water. Would it float on other liquids? Would it melt with magma? If so, does it rise to the top of magma while it is melting (low density)? Would color be gray?

Hmm, yes, very interesting. I had those same questions.

Bleah. Dead Forum is dead.

This forum isn't necessarily dead. It's just that most have exhausted all their ideas and there is nothing interesting going on in PG, because SR is getting updated more often.

Cilia
Color: Don't know, don't care
State: Solid
Description: Ciliia will grab elements in their moore's neighborhood and rotate them around them. The direction that the cilia rotates in is determined by what solids the cilia is touching (glass rotates cilia one way, and charged glass rotates cilia another way). If multiple cilia are grabbing an element the element will move in the net direction of the pull.
Use: Transporting elements

Well that is certainly an interesting element, and I'd love to approve it, but we just need a color first.

I can see a good use for this, but I'm not sure how they would be implemented.

Like wheels, probably.

No, like mini-coveyor belts. That can be put together to make a real conveyor belt. Probably with paint.

Yeah, that's the idea that ran through my head when I read this.

Would color be gray? yeah it would melt but not burn and it would try to float to the top while melting. it would float an oil and stuff with lower density than water. and yes it is gray.

Powdered clone
Color: Dark Brown
Is bouncy like superball and can clone stuff like clone.
Uses: Cloning, traps. thunder traps.

How would it be activated? (I mean as a trap)

To be activated the powder clone on fire or with thunder touches the clone and the player would be standing on that clone can be killed.

I don't find that useful. That can be done with normal clone. You have to TAKE ADVANTAGE of its powder powers.
Maybe you would balance it on a wheel with superball on the other end, but that's still pretty hard.
I still just don't think it's very useful.

This sounds weird but there should be a type of clone like liquid clone, powder clone and gas clone. Like there is an arrow pointing down from the clone and click that arrow to see liquid and gas and powders.

I like the idea of powder, liquid, and gas clone, and they've proven to be very useful on a mod from the powder toy (I was there arguing with the mods and devs for a good 2 hours last night, the entire commune is ridiculous, they think we stole the ideas from their game). Anyway, I would love to see clone in different states of matter.

Name: Life Color: #FF3700 (orange) Type: Living powder Description: eats organic powders (seed, powder, ect.) and multiplies at 1 every 4-8 'meals', moves atound randomly, burns with lighter elements, if under 5 pixels of water it 'dies' becoming powder Uses: getting rid of things

Name: Graphite Colour: Greyish brown (777744) Type: Semisolid (shatters when dragged) Description: If dragged or hit with thunder, will shatter into a fireproof powder-like salt, but the same colour as regular graphite and lighter. If, in its solid form, it is placed under or in more than 99 dots of magma, it will turn to Diamond. Uses: Making diamond, heat insulation
Name: Diamond Colour: DDDDFF (Very Light Blue) Type: Solid Description: Fireproof, melts extremely slowly. If hit by one dot of laser, it will split it up into two points perpendicular to its original direction. If it by two dots, will morph them into one.
EDIT Name: Aurum/Gold Colour: Yellowish orange Type: Semisolid Description: Can be shaped by drag, will not rust or corrode, fireproof, melts extremely slowly. Can carry thunder along itself it 2 PPF. If given a choice at an intersection in wiring, thunder will always pick it over regular metal and mercury. Uses: Tech, visible acid insulation. Lights up when hit by elements that would normally illuminate area in BG-dark. Uses: Laser splitters, alternate lighting schemes.

I think that Gold and Diamond have already been suggested and approved, but I'm not sure about graphite. I wouldn't be surprised if it was, however.
As to life, I'm not sure how easy that would be to implement. But I like the concept, so
