Hey, I've intercepted a transmission from a Phoenix military. A bunch of their gunships are inbound from one of the grey regions. By a bunch, I mean a BUNCH. I suspect they are coming to bomb the bunker, as well as any outposts we might have. The bunker should be safe, but... well, the PHX has nukes. Ideas?

We might need to know the exact coordinates of their incoming gunship groups... Where the transmission was received from, if possible... If they're going to bomb the area, we will need to get our Air Force out there, and prepare the Anti-Air, if possible.

To be honest I think the navy should be used. ALL of them. Drax, if you want you can join the navy and go straight to the rank Captain. (Head of one ship, any ship of your choice) {I'll let you go straight to the rank of Captain because you already meet the requirements.} Also, guys... our numbers are slightly thinned because of this battle. Someone post there so that I can finish it up and then run the war simulator to see if we won or not and how many troops we'll have left to send to this battle. We'll be able to spare about 2500 Cytronians tops. (if the other battle concludes, we'll gain (however many troops left after battle) - 2500) Within 48 hours we'll have replenished our numbers and have 10000 Cytronians to join the Naval battle. (Also we'll have any legions or battalions in this battle. Like drax's 304 thingeh.) Also, what about sending some of the Sub-Navy to deal with them?

The Sub-Navy? This far from the ocean? Not a chance.

Waitwut? I thought they were a fleet of gunships?

MWAHAHAHA MY SHIPS HAVE BEEN ANTICIPATING THIS MOMENT! Lol. Anyway, Memzak, the sub navyis a fleet of SUBmarines. Therefore the name. And if they were airships wouldnt they be part of the airforce?

Why would gunships need floating life support buoys?

Post by ~Memzak~ on May 17, 2011 8:00:39 GMT
Wait, now I'm really confused, are they on land, water or air? (Or underwater)
Arg... I'm so confused! *splodes*

They are called the SUB-Navy for a reason. Here's an actual quote:
Where you got the idea that they were gunships is beyond me.

I got it from the first post which I am still confused about as none of those quote are in the first post or referred to in the first post at all...

Their gunships, yes. Not the SNs.

So the gunships are naval units. Good. Just making sure, because that comment above about them needing life support buoys confused me. Now I am up to date.

What? No, the gunships are not naval units. Here's an example gunship: I mean, how would the naval units bomb the bunker?

Missiles launched from deck?
Ok anyway, at least we know (all of us) what they are now. Since most of the aerial units aren't in the battle commencing at West Outpost B we can send a combat force to try and take them down before they reach anywhere near us?
Who here is going co-ordinate this whilst I finish up the ground battle? (on the other thread)

Post by Draxorion on May 21, 2011 3:20:33 GMT
We need immediate support... You should decide going to defend against them? Missiles aren't exactly bombs, Memzak. Also, how many troops do we have at the Outposts and Bunker?
|
|
|
Post by Qwerty on May 21, 2011 6:24:58 GMT
Either way, they're almost here, so I suggest we decide quickly. Don't we have some surface-to-air missiles?
|
|
|
Post by Draxorion on May 21, 2011 7:12:43 GMT
Yes, I'm pretty sure we had something of the sort. I don't have the ability to confirm. So, how are we going to pull it off?

Post by ~Memzak~ on May 23, 2011 5:17:02 GMT
We don't actually have surface to air missles and the majority of our troops are still in battle with enemy ground forces. (A battle I cannot conclude until someone else posts in it)
We do have 10 Mz-14's and 20 Mz-15's. We also have 10 Mk-115 GAI which we stole from the Phoenix Federation. (As well as 10 MUAV's and 10 H0 Helicopters)
I suggest that Pie controls an MUAV from base and Dracorio Flies a Mz-15. (As soon as the ground forces battle finishes I'll also join in a Mz-15)
(But could some one please post in the thread so that I can conclude the ground forces battle and calculate our losses)

Also, I'd like to suggest the use of weather control to turn this engagement to our preference.

I'd like to agree to that suggestion, it's about time we gave it some proper use.
We'll be sending our most ferocious blizzards in their direction and once our planes enter the battle we'll turn it off so that they'll be confused and disorientated and we'll be coming out of the ended blizzard organised and ready to win.
"Start up the blizzard Boys." I said over the communications from ground battle after hearing the suggestion.
"The ground battle is now over, we just finished eradicating the last of their forces. Defense wins with 10784 units remaining. (That'd be us)
We lost many troops out there, but by the end of Wednesday our numbers shall be replenished. (48 hours)
Let's just hope we can last until then.

Alrighty. Should I set the computer to control the other MUAVs? I can switch MUAVs occasionally, kepe them guessing as to which one is human-controlled.

Post by Draxorion on May 24, 2011 2:55:58 GMT
How versatile is this MUAV, exactly? Will it hold against a gunship?

Probably not for very long, but hey, no life or limb is at stake at least.

I'm going to have to stick to it this time... How large is it?
|
|
|
Post by ~Memzak~ on May 24, 2011 6:22:15 GMT
It's slightly smaller than an Mz-15 and it's AI is similar to a Cytronian (just less organic and less intelligent) that has been edited for air travel.
Now that the ground battle is over, I'll be taking an Mz-15 to join the battle.
"Everyone get ready to fly, next post we're in the sky."

Alright, I'm wired up to the MUAVs. I'm going to bring them away until after the battle has begun, and send them in unexpectedly from the rear. A volley of missiles while they are busy avoiding our manned forced should do the trick, at least partially.

*gets onto an Mz-15, after checking equipment and weapons* Now... Lets get this show on the road. Memzak, what weapons do we have on these? I don't think we'd be able to bring down a gunship without some proper weaponry... Temp, maybe you can set this one to AI? I'll co-pilot it, if possible.

They have two machine guns (not sure of their calibre) and can have a total of 8 missiles before needing to get more. They can also (if they have a clear target) fire a powerful laser. (but not as powerful as our laser cannon on the ground)
They are able to vertically land and take off, for more missiles.
We have 20 of the Mz-15's in total. (and 10 Mz-14's which are much the same, except vertical landing and takeoff is glitchy while using them.
"...and we're off!" I said as I took for the sky.
We so a blizzard up a head, which were generated by our weather control. Once we enter the area they'll stop the blizzard. The enemy won't know what hit them.

Alright, I have your plane linked to the primary AI. I don't suggest using it in battle, it isn't very intelligent. Just the MUAV default.
See if you guys can lead them within turret range, I'll fly the MUAVs in a simple defensive formation to a nearby flat area of ice.

"Sure thing." I replied.
As our engines throttled towards the blizzard and our missiles were armed.
"Well this should be interesting." I said.
